You're damn fucking right I'm going to this.
I'll be living in Paris at the time, but I'll fly back for this.
You won't end up going Matt, because I will be there, and it isn't physically possible for both of us to attend the same event.

Or you exist in a parallel alternate universe that only interacts with mine on a sub-atomic level, interactions which manifest themselves as messages on an Internet music forum.
.... parallel universes where the probability of us attending the same event is 1 when it's first announced, but exponentially approaches zero as the event date approaches.
A few things to get you in the mood!!:

I've heard nothing but amazing things, regarding last night
Any reviews/comments from people who went?
I would love to make it to one of these.
Was massively let down by Hybrid, got it totally wrong. Paul Bleasdale was fantastic, he came on at 12.30 and played this run of tracks which whipped the crowd right up:
Rui Da Silva - Touch Me
Schiller - Ruhe (Humate Remix)
Killahurtz - West On 27th (A Tribe Called Khz Mix)
Mory Kante - Yeke Yeke (Solarstone Remix)
Laurent Garnier - Man With The Red Face
IIO - Rapture (Deep Dish Remix)
But then when Hybrid came on at 1.30, Chris Healings took it right down to playing early '90s house like we'd been hearing at 10pm in the warm-up. Killed the energy on the dancefloor stone dead. Fucking clown. I was backstage for a while and while I heard him play some good tunes (WOW - Domination, Symphony, Papua New Guinea) it sounded like he was just playing tracks in full with no mixing whatsoever. Christ knows what was happening. Then the Joanna Law live PA was cheesy as hell, and J00F was tasked with saving the night, which he managed to do by playing a solid set. I personally had hoped he'd played deeper and more progressive than he ended up doing... his set was very big and trancey for the most part. I think if Healings had done his fucking job and played a proper Hybrid set of breakbeat trance, J00F could have taken it a bit more heads-down afterwards, but the crowd needed lifting up.
Overall I was pretty disappointed in all honesty... some factors were personal to me, but Hybrid's set was just dogshit and it came right when the night should have been peaking. The last CR I went to with Justin Robertson and Dave Seaman was on a different planet to Saturday, as far as I'm concerned.
It was a top night but definitely lost a bit of impetus when Hybrid came on, surprised the direction and lack of energy he gave it though there were plenty of great tracks.
J00F was set of the night for me and Bleasdale and Park were spot on.
It was the Creamer & Stephane K mix of Rapture that Bleasdale played Jack. Who won in your name the tunes battle?
I think Jon came out on top in the end, because he ID'd about 80% of J00F's set and clawed it back. And you're right about Rapture - fantastic remix as well.
Listened to '00's set on soundcloud. Wow, what a journey. Can't wait to check him out here in Miami during WMC.
