Some proggy stuff I guess? 5 mins (updated, possibly trance)

That was fun. Going to take a rest tonight then work on the intro tomorrow. Starts basically after where the intro would be.

Wow a lot of great elements. You just have to finish it now which is hard for some.

Thanks. And it should be OK. I'll have some time to sit down this weekend and work with what I have. I do like the grooving though!

This is really cool. Looking forward to the finished product on something that already sounds both professional and original. Nice work, man.

Just went to the pub and was determined and inspired to work on this more. I focused on the mixdown (edit: arrangement) most of all. I find that since I produce on my cans I can do it anywhere with this new laptop, and actually being around people and in an atmosphere tends to help me work better. Now just gotta reference out on various consumer headphones, laptops, a PA, the car, a stereo, etc... (Same thing I do with all my tracks)

Thanks for the compliment. I didn't have anything in mind when I sat down to do this, it was 11PM and I was waiting for my cousin to home, I was sitting outside and did all of that with my trackpad. Just stoned enough to get some creativity to come through the way I want it, but not drunk at all. Just felt like making music. Apparently it's techno.

Bussed the perc, made the track louder in the mix, etc, etc. Zero clipping. PSP on the master for beef. Here it is:

Time to fucking party.

Nice track Love the bass.

I like it, but it's not very strong percussion wise.

Posted by Evolve140 on Sep-08-2012 22:42:

Right. I think that's where most of the work needs to be done. Mid percs are pretty absent in this.

Sound like very promising concept man, just want to make sure that you don't hang for too long on this lead/pluck modulation lol - definitely good potential to be something sweet and cool from you.

Cheers man,

Darek

throw in a shuffly house beat type 1999 and use a transient designer to tiny down the sounds, and you should be set percussionwise..
def not techno.. sounds like very, very thin prog house with a weird noise in it. it's not bad though.
