Monkey Dancer 2 Something Different - Electro-Trance-House from DariusX @ Anakratis (WIP)

I always try to challenge myself to do/produce something different and unique at the time (at least for me) and in collaboration with Anakratis we came up with this track (no name, WIP so far):

Electro-Trance-House - Anakratis @ DariusX (No Name - WIP) by DariusX.

Please comment and let me know what do you guys think?

Cheers team!!!!

This is very enjoyable. I love the chord work in this and how well you've balanced it against other parts of the track. The mixing, as always, is brilliant. Nice work, gents! Looking forward to the finished product.

Nice to get your opinion man, always appreciate your perspective and view - thank you !!!

Is still far from finish and still missing some very important elements like transitions (tape slows), raises, drops and more crazy FX - so if you like this WIP so far you should like it even more in final stage.

Cheers Eddie !!!

Sound like you like this WIP (so far) a bit - something very unusual for me but I guess it works out lol - Holy shit man, this comment is massive, thanks !!!!

the plucky stuff came in weird, but im guessing some transitional effect would help that.. the melody reminds me of probespot or something.. the buildup def needs more work imo. i like the idea, but right now it sounded a bit too forced in there, at least in the beginning.. i liked the bass and stuff that came in after, although it felt a bit generic at times, but i think thats because of your sound selection. cool wip, would love to hear the finished piece.

Thank man, really like when people being engage in specific or detail conversation - but this whole track should (and it is my fault if is not) be around this dark drums and sub-melodic and driving but simply/basic sounding House style elements

Next step would be some extra and serious FX style transition to spice up this whole Electro-House environment + some additional layer of Trance sounding components to sweetening this overall final experience.

Not done yet, still WIP but your info/comments are noted and will be considered in the final version of this production - Appreciate

Cheers,

Darek

This is awesome. I like the style and the vibe and all the various elements you put into it. Can't wait to hear the finished product

Really good break, excellent, but then when it drops, to me the 2 parts seem quite disconnected and unrelated, but that maybe just a taste thing.

Nice mixing.

I wouldn't give up on this at that break part is the basis of something cool indeed

Yes Richard, I use to think so to as a guy who came from melodically-interconnected Trance genre but after going through bunch of recent Techno/Electro/House stuff just release that the rules of the game a bit different and most of the time you drive on different platforms (or parts of the track) and build as much excitement and tension as possible with huge/big release on the connection point/drop - damn it you can learn/master a lot of different things and techniques buy switching genre back and front.

Cheers man,

Darek

While I agree with some of what you're saying, I totally agree with what that dirtbox diva said. Too many new elements/rythms when it kicked back in again, so it seems a bit incoherent.
Maybe try just coming in with kick and a simplified version of the bassline after the buildup, and just slowly (each 4 or 2 bars) turn the bassline more complex.. think of it as another 16 bars of buildup, with the kick running. only sexier.

WOW

Just awesome all the way around. I can especially see Markus Schulz playing this one.

I really like your "sexier" comment man, will do everything possible to achieve this status -> thanks man for your idea, sounded interesting as a concept and who knows I may plugin that into this track and see how it seats/work

This is new territory for me as I was more involved into Trance and some time overlapping with different form of House style -> is never too late so learn/master different genre ...... or at least have fun to experience/play with.

Cheers man,

Darek

I already talked to Markus, there is one think OI will have to tweak a bit before he will take it on the air lol - just kidding man, nothing will happen before I can finish it lol - but I definitely like your "WOW" comment

All the best man,

Darek

Absolute shite as always!!!

Just kidding.
It's been a while since I was here so figured I would pick up where I left off.

I actually like the fact that you introduce new stuff at the drop and I would have no issues with dropping this in a set. Defy convention, it's the only way true progress is made.

I see this as a nice sweaty grind it out track once it kicks back in. And the fact that it does stand out is what makes it so very interesting.

Cheers
Karl
