I always laugh at people though when they say "I wanna have sushi today!" and then I see them eating a California roll in class.

Lol, I love love love salmon sashimi. Black pepper tuna nigiri OM NOM HOLY FUCK. All kinds of different maki - dragon rolls (I think I'm the only person who likes eel?), scorpion rolls, spicy salmon rolls, etc etc. Love me some gyoza too!

Is sushi an aquired taste like olives? I can't stand sushi, and I've tried eating it like 4 times over a span of about 10 years. Olives was kind of the same. I hated it for like 5 years, but then all of a sudden it changed and now I can eat them straight from the jar.

Omg *drool*. Also, eel is my favourite! I love the consistency and taste. It's unique.

Honestly, I think that's what California rolls are made for. It's like the gateway dish into the world of sushi. Once you're ok with the taste of California rolls, graduate to some salmon rolls. Then onwards and upwards!

I don't know if it's an acquired taste, because I loved it ever since I had my first spicy tuna roll.
