Does this mean you've seen Dredd?
YES, and it was fucking sweet. I liked it way more than Looper tbh.

And yes, this will be consumed. Your last mix was definitely your strongest yet, hope this one can continue where it left off.
You should limit this mix to 200 copies.
Been a while since we've had a mix from you, Austin. Downloading now.
Very much in, downloading.
America is an irradiated wasteland. Within it lies a city. Outside the boundary walls, a desert: the Cursed Earth. Inside the walls, a cursed city. Stretching from Boston to Washington DC, an unbroken concrete landscape. Eight hundred million people living in the ruin of the old world, and the megastructures of the new one. Mega blocks. Mega highways.
Mega City One.
HIGH EX
ROOKIE... JUDGEMENT
The one-liners had my friends and I in stitches but we loved the movie.
How can you not be amused by a film featuring a bum holding a sign saying "WILL DEBASE SELF FOR CREDITS"?
We were all so sad at his demise.
you are truly a good source for contemporary music
I wrote some shit on your soundcloud page but forgot to comment here. Nicely done, you do a very good job at playing eclectic - not many people can do that. I personally fail miserably
And I don't know why, but your mix somehow inspired me to record something for the first time in a while. I'll have a thread up in a moment (shameless selfpromotion!
)
Awesome. Also thanks, I appreciate it. I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing when I mix, so feedback helps a lot.
Thanks for checking it guys, still not super confident about it.
i will only listen if you change the thread tag to bas gay.
Really nice set, I was losing faith in the DJ promotion subforum, but finally I found something good.
Thanks man, appreciate it.
As you know, I suck at leaving helpful/constructive feedback, but my ears really enjoyed this. Dat bass, you know? Good shit. Was this a combination of wax and cd? Keep it up
It was indeed vinyl and CD. Also thanks, I suck at leaving feedback too.
I've kinda given up on getting my mixing "perfect", so hopefully it's tolerable. Listening back to this I just keep cringing at little transitions that could have been easily fixed, or flow problems that I've got numerous ideas for after the fact. All in all though, I'm glad to hear people are liking it, at least.
i am still waiting for my request before listening.
tong zhi
EFFING FINE
thanks this mix is awesome even without listening .
nigga means this in chinese ,needless to say i am dropping n bombs with impunity.
brb sars and 30 more hits at least
This mix was decent, but I can't say I massively enjoyed it. Certainly not as much as Empty Solace.
It started off well, and then there was the rough transition into Malfunction (Adjust), and well... I just fucking hated that track. I hated it so much I was sorely tempted to just turn the mix off and play something else. But I got through it and things picked up. And then after a while, I started thinking "Yeah, this is groovy and eclectic, but I'm not sure where it's going". Then the Jimmy Edgar and Scuba tracks came in and it felt like the mix was picking up nicely, as though the rhythmic and stylistic diversity of the early stages was going to crystalise into a thumping dancefloor beat. And then... I dunno. The mix just seemed to end. I was quite surprised it was over.
There were a lot of positives. Despite the odd clanger, the mixing was pretty good. I like the eclecticism, and a lot of the tunes were good. I just didn't get any real sense of narrative. Empty Solace hit a wonderful apex with that Biosphere track, like a high point from which you could look back and survey how far you'd come. There was none of that here - no moment that threw everything into focus.
Alright, yes, I completely agree with everything you said(This was the kind of response I was hoping for). The flow was off; there were several selections upon listening back that make no sense and I was pretty frustrated with that. Really, the only response I can have at this point is I need to A) spend more time with my tracks, and B) spend more time actually mixing and practicing. Although, at this point I don't really know what my end goal with all this stuff is outside of just a vague hobby, but I think you've touched on that in a review of my "work" previously.
Thank you for sticking with it, and I really do appreciate the feedback. I never play for people, so the only time I get any sort of critique is through this type of stuff. WORSTDJEVR. BEDROOM4LIFE.
