Benny Rodrigues is without any doubt one of the greatest talents that our country has ever had, and it wont be long before this new-breed DJ gets his breakthrough on an international level. In 1999, Benny started out as a shop assistant at Basic Beat in downtown Rotterdam. At that time, Benny was only 17 years old. Fellow DJ and friend Tijs Verwest - better known as Tisto - was his colleague at that time. Tisto's success was an important source of inspiration for Benny.

Currently Benny is still working at Basic Beat, selling records and fine tuning his DJ skills. He holds residencies at both Now&Wow and Nighttown in Rotterdam, and he regularly plays at some of the largest indoor and outdoor events throughout the Netherlands, such as Impulz, Dance Valley and Innercity. Furthermore, he regularly showcases his talent at prestigious clubs such as Cubic and the Escape Venue in Amsterdam, Stalker in Haarlem, and Cafe d'Anvers in Belgium.

By the end of 2001, Benny released his first compilation CD for club Now&Wow. The future is looking bright for Benny Rodrigues, and his star is rising fast.

I saw him last year for the first time (in Night-town Rotterdam) and I was amazed of his set. Such nice style and class. This year I saw him a few times and every time he played classy shit. His style is a bit like Michel de Hey (and he's one of mine hero's)
