They're better off taking the word "Massive" out of the event name with that lineup...

if only there was an event forum for threads like this...

doesnt qualify as an event since last years was cancelled.

Venue issues again? Don't get this...did they lose LA Center Studios? Address of it is right on the tickets page on Flavorus if they didn't, but they say it'll only be made to pre-sale ticket holders....makes me think it might be moving?...I is confused....

From MonsterMassive.com:
Oct 25th - THIS EVENT IS NOT CANCELLED.
THE EVENT IS BEING HELD IN DOWNTOWN LA.
THE ADDRESS OF THE VENUE WILL ONLY BE MADE AVAILABLE TO PRE-SALE TICKET HOLDERS. All ARTISTS ARE CONFIRMED, AND ALL SYSTEMS GO!
GA TICKETS ARE NOW SOLD OUT.
VIP, CABANAS AND PARTY PACKAGES ARE STILL AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE ONLY.
DUE TO THE LIMITED CAPACITY OF THIS EVENT THE LOCATION WILL NOT BE RELEASED PUBLICLY.
DIRECTIONS AND VENUE ADDRESS WILL BE EMAILED DIRECTLY TO EXISTING TICKET HOLDERS TODAY.
THANK YOU AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ALL AT THIS YEARS MONSTER MASSIVE!

LOL they have known about this for awhile, that is why the event 'sold out' if you look on the groovetickets page, monster is ranked behind the steve aoki event that is next month..

They probably only sold 2-3k tickets.

Posted by iLLiE586 on Oct-26-2012 05:48:

Probably could not sell enough tickets for the LA studio venue to be worthwhile, so they shut ticket sales down in order to move inside a smaller plan B venue that is cheaper and better suited for their small attendance.

well, this event did not disappoint expectations for anyone. lol

Posted by 72hrpartyanimal on Oct-26-2012 16:21:

i talked to a fellow promoter buddy who has been retired but jumped back in to help Reza out and he says it's been a crazy trip.

edit*

meaning he should have stayed retired

Posted by Kam on Oct-26-2012 18:08:

Venue is definitely moved. One of my buddies who is setting up lights/sound said they dropped the capacity a lot lower as well.

There is still a small chance it might not happen at all.

Posted by rowdy on Oct-26-2012 18:15:

LOL

They made it 21+ now I guess

Posted by rowdy on Oct-26-2012 18:38:

and it's now at lot 613

Anyone supporting this event in any way is an IDIOT. Had disaster written all over it from before they even thought to do it.

Should be interesting to hear the stories when the fire marshall shuts the place down

Friends don't let friends go to a Go Ventures Event

I feel bad... sort of. GV was such a HUGE promoter and now they've fallen to completely off the map.

+1

Biggest hero to zero I have seen in a long time. Monster Massive and TOA were the premier holiday events, And they went down the toilet fast because of poor management

isn't the guy behind CoolWorld, the same guy behind ULTRA? I remember him being interview on local news right after he was banned from throwing events in the bay area. If it is he is doing awesome if you ask me..

Posted by iLLiE586 on Oct-26-2012 22:28:

I really think EDC 2010 LA trouble was indirectly a major reason for the demise of GV. After the big crack down, MM 2010 got raided by a bunch of police and tons of people got arrested, this in turn gave GV a bad name in the community. I feel like EDC 2010 and then MM 2010 was the turning point that lead to this.

Lovefest 2010 at The Palms was and is still one of my favorite weekends ever, sad to see that Reza turned rotten and ran them into the ground.

I don't think so, but I don't know. I'm pretty sure Russell Faibisch and Alex Omes from ULTRA are not dicks like the owner of CoolWorld was. I promoted for that guy for 2 years and he didn't give me shit. I'm kinda glad his empire fell.

ULTRA has been around since 99' and pretty sure the partners have put most of their time into the festival in Miami.

I can't believe CoolWorld still has their website up. The site is promoting ULTRA though.

http://www.coolworld.com/v2/main2.asp

Maybe the two are affiliated with each other but not same ownership.
