-- Love?
Love?
Do you believe in love ? And if so, what do you think about it ?
love fucking sucks...unless, of course, its mutual and true
Most of the time it's like the fifth horsman of the apocalyps. But sometimes it can be a liberating experience. It all depends on how it flows; upwards to pleasure or down to misery
Love is the most painful emotion you'll ever experience.

At times I felt a lot like like I was destined never find it, but I was so incredibly lucky and found the love of my life, my perfect match, when I had stopped searching. We have been together for one year and it has been the happiest and most totally awesome year ever. I agree, love can be painful at times, but it is also the most fulfilling, exquisite feeling as well. With every passing day, I feel it more intensely, it is totally fantastic. Don't ever give up, because just when you think love can't happen to you, it does. |

Love is the emotion of extremes. Either you have love and are extremly happy, or you need love and are extremly lonely. Or you just lost someone you loved and your extremly sad
once this song came out :
britney spears - I believe in love
well listen to the words!
you'll see!
love is real
Yes, love is definitely real. But falling out of love is just the same, and hurts like a bitch.
Damn, I'm so lonely now.

I can't really say I've ever been in love, so I may not have any right to comment, but the way I see it, if you want to fall in love then you will.
I've enjoyed the time I've spent with my girlfriends (well, most of it
) but at the same time, my feelings never evolved beyond that superficial "attraction" or a sort of mild feeling of "caring" for them. You may argue that I didn't give the feelings enough time to mature, or that I just haven't met the right girl, but I can't see things changing. I'm not emotional enough to fall in love. Well actually that's not true: I like to think of myself as "emotional" but just not in the way we're talking about here - I get emotional about people dying, or getting hurt or about more "transcendent" things (which would take a while to explain) but I doubt I could ever reach any sort of emotional intensity in an exclusive relationship.
I'll probably end up marrying at some point, or at least nestle myself into a nice cozy relationship with someone, but I doubt I'll be acting out of "love" more for the security of sexual companionship.
Not to say that I'm obsessed with sex or anything, but I'm still of the belief that - at base - that's where hetero-sexual love inextricably stems from.
Read into this what you will.
i think love do existe, but when its ends its hurts so much ("love hurts when people change") ...
and its hurts even more when u love a porsen and he doesnt love u back...
but still i think the purpose of ppls lives is 2 love and b loved.. (Better to love once and b hurted then never love anyone..)
and in the end evry one have 2 find the right one 4 him ...

Being married for 3 years and having going out with my now wife for over 10, I can tell you what I know about that: 1) Have some common goals that you both can accomplish in life together. This is very important. How many times have you heard the, "We just drifted apart..." senario...too many times... There's nothing wrong with doing your own thing; you should, but be sure to balance that with your relationship. 2) Communicate, communicate, communicate. For guys, this can be hard. But most of the time women just want someone to hear them out; not necessarily looking for answers to their daily problems (wipes brow...) Become a soundboard for them. 3) Tell them you love them and hug them everyday. Hey...it doesn't hurt... 4) Support them 100% in whatever they decide to do. For example, my wife Irish Dances (like the stuff you see in 'Lord of the Dance') and goes to class one a week. I'm no expert, but out of all of my friends, I have the longest lasting relationship by a long shot. My .02... |

Love I dont think it can exist it might but I cant believe it. Not that Ive been hurt in the past by it but for some odd reason I cant see it when it's there. Maybe cuz Im in such a negative view I just cannot see it but Im cheerful and happy strange
Luv I can see and I can use on people I care a lot about but cant put my thumb exactly on them if you get my drift.

this.. is a loaded subject for me. I feel about 90% of the time I'd be better off being a bachelor or a hermit for the rest of my life. The other 10% of the time though I'm lonely as hell. Better to have loved and lost blah blah blah.. bullshit. The two true loves of my life I think about to this day (I knew them 7 and 6 years ago resepectively) and the thing is I know one never had a clue and the other knew, and was really interested in trying to discover her feelings, but we both decided our situations were not supportive to any relationship. (This goes back to the similar goals item mentioned by Essential1) before. ANd to this day I'm kicking myself in the ass constantly for not trying to find some more solid common ground between myself and her to be able to at least attempt. Maybe if I had done that I'd be more accepting of the "loved and lost" phrase, but right now that's just stupid to me.
Anyhow.. yes,I believe true love exists, but in its purest form it's a very rare thing. And also to paraphrase Essential1 again, it takes work. That I can do, but I don't have the patience when I'm the only one working on it. Truth of the matter is I don't mind listening at all, I'm usually better at it than talking myself. Thank god we're not actually talking abotu marriage. THat's where I get into really sticky issues; suffice it to say I just think that it's a broken concept, though I tend to have problems with roommates of any sort. I need my alone time
(And you wonder why my few long distance relationships [I met girls in the town I went to college in after I had moved to another college.. I was visiting friends still at school there] have been fairly succesful... Much alone time there.. though sometimes too much
)
I've gone too long already, and as stated before I could go on for hours about this.. it's made trickier that this viewpoint is varied by my moods as well. And yes, being horny does affect my viewpoint on this matter as well. New sex with a new partner is always exciting, but sometimes knowing what to expect to some degree is comforting in its own way, and generally speaking sex with one you love is the most fulfilling...
