Here come the big guns ...

Just read on another forum the announcement of some acts for Advent*Jah festival in Melb. on Nov. 23rd. Check out these names:
DJ Scot Project, S.H.O.K.K. and DJ Wag, and more TBA.

Sweet mother of lesbians, how oarsome is this gonna be?!?!?!

Yes, it has been a big year indeed and still a quarter way to go!

Correct me if i'm wrong but aren't DJ Scot Project & DJ Wag the same person, Frank Zenker?

Anyway, SHOKK is definately great news!

Posted by Decepticon on Sep-13-2002 07:19:

Why pass on it for?

I reckon the lineup is not too bad at all.
Put my name down for sure Michael, i'll be there with bells on!

Cheers.

Bwahahahahahaahhhhhhhhhh. Ah, i've read some funny stuff on this forums board about who people are. I even read someone say that Scot Project was Cosmic Gate.

Scot Project = Arome = Frank Zenker
DJ Wag = Uwe Wagenknecht = Yakooza

Why the long face Tsunami? I don't understand.

I thought this was marginally good, if not, great news.

no offence to the hard trance brigade on the forum but id prefer to be masterbating in a dark alley than listen to those djs!!!

true.. but weve never had DJ Scot Project, S.H.O.K.K. and DJ Wag, all in one nite!!!

Posted by Tranzmit on Sep-13-2002 11:26:

*Points stipsy in the general direction of some fine alleyways that should suit the purpose*

I'd go if it was here but i can't be arsed getting down to melbourne for that so some other time perhaps

I'm happy with Ferry showing up in Nov as that should be good and i've never seen him yet

i'll arrange for someone to anally rape you like a mutha fucka to remind u that you would be feeling a lot happier listening to those djs than how what you would be experiencing at that time

ROFL stipsy .. i'm sure there's a story behind that somewhere

None taken. I've seen Scot Project, he's nothing worth paying for. All these dj's, they're not even dj's. Scot Project, S.H.O.K.K. and Wag are all producers, not dj's. No offence to them but they nothing special at all. There's plentt of local talent better than them

Couldnt of said it better myself!

Posted by jc on Sep-13-2002 16:45:

local talent I hand it down to mark dynamix. only.

Hey cheggy

I saw dj scott project at earthcore last year and enjoyed his set from start to finish. Im not sure but he sounded like a dj to me. And if you are talking local talent who are you talking about? I'd go and check it out for something different. It's not like sydney has much to offer in the going out department lately, except for altitude once a month.

Posted by hey cheggy on Sep-14-2002 13:06:

I heared him play at plastic when they brought him down a while ago. Decent track selection, granted most of the stuff he had written/remixed himself, but the mixing left a lot to the imagination. The same went for A*S*Y*S. Scot Project was a great bloke and he's a brilliant producer. Some of the stuff he's done under the Arome alias have been amazing.

When i say there's better local talent, I mean there's people with more skill than him out there. Who, too many to name. There are plenty of good Sydney dj's, it's just that most people call a dj good simply because he/she plays the music they like, not because they can mix well, or this dj is shit because i don't like that style of music.
