Calgary - Any underground house/techno fans here

Hey Everyone,

I am new to Calgary as I moved from the east. It seems like Calgary only gets the trance and commercial house djs (not my scene).

I grew raving in Montreal,Toronto and London (UK). Could anybody direct me to where I can listen to music similar to - Danny Howells, Carl Craig, Ricardo Villalobos, Maya Jane Coles, Carl Cox, Luciano etc.

And why arent't any of these top DJs getting booked here?

Although it may seem like the Calgary scene might be as you describe but in reality it's quite diversified thanks to clubs such as Habitat Living Sound, The Hifi Club, The Distillery, and the Commonwealth Bar & Stage.

Here are a few upcoming shows that might pique your interest:

Thursday, November 8th - Omid 16b @ Habitat Living Sound

Friday, November 16th - Calyx & Teebee @ The Distillery

Friday, November 9th - Prok + Fitch, and More @ Habitat Living Sound
