No Armin van Buuren - Ruby Skye San Francisco Nov 02
I'm thinking that San Francisco will get their dosage of Armin van Buuren this Friday.. Can anyone confirm???!
He has nothing on the schedule for this Friday..

if its armin i doubt its with markus when he was just here. And costs too much for Ruby Skye. This isnt LA - unfortunately.
But SF needs its Armin fix (or armin vs markus). Was hoping for a Warfield show with full production like Emery, but Ruby Skye will work.
Armin on a Friday? Highly doubtful. They most likely book him on a weekday or a day during the week that they can easily sell out. Why waste it on a Friday where they already made a high profit compared to other days of the week?

Don't get me wrong; this would be amazing. But c'mon, now.
Who else is worth starting tier tickets at $45 that hasn't been announced and hasn't been at Ruby Skye for a while?

With the recent top 100 dj poll, it can really be anyone in the top 20.
Hardwell? Dash Berlin? Above & Beyond? Skrillex? Steve Aoki? Paul Van Dyk? Nicky Romero? Sander Van Doorn?
It is tough for me to believe that someone like Armin would be a surprise DJ for Ruby Skye. If Armin comes to town, it would be HEAVILY promoted in advance to not only get the ticket price higher, but also to get people in for table/bottle service.
I would say the same for other big acts like Above & Beyond.
they really need to stop busting this special dj guest shit..seriously, its not helping their image
One thing to think about is a lot of Armin's bookings were very last minute (Escape and Exchange). Armin and his agency probably wanted to wait on the outcome of the DJ Mag Top 100 Results. I'm sure it was a way to increase booking fees and ticket sales.
Still no inside update. Hoping for one before official release to get early priced tickets.
I vote no, because I'm planning to see Markus Friday @ Marquee.
If I had to guess, we would have seen a last minute SF date for Armin happen last night (Monday)...
he is headed to Slovakia for a gig the 31st...not impossible to fly all the way back for Friday night, I just think it's unlikely (some of us probably would have already gotten some hints...hint hint.)
it's not even a surprise...

Everyone here, you so-called experience clubbers (teehee), should know the scene well enough how it works. If a DJ can't be announced yet an event is announced, there are usually contractual reasons preventing it.
This could be from the DJ playing at some event local, in the state, or even Vegas in some cases where they have a contract that pretty much locks the DJ out from playing somewhere else....or at least it can't be announced before a certain date or if wherever they are booked (and publicly announced) is sold out.
Example: Skills never announced its NYE lineup w A&B until A&B played at the Warfield...
Example: Skills just announced its etd.POP lineup w/ Markus in it the day after Markus played in SF.
Example: When Prydz played, it was announced the day of the event he was playing down in Mountain View. Chances are it could've been announced earlier if the event sold out (if it didn't, I don't know nor really care). BTW, I don't know if it could've been announced it it sold out and it wasn't -- just assuming. n00bs...teeehee. :P
This type of announcement is nothing unusual in this scene, yet it doesn't happen very often at the same time. Guess you have to be suuuupper old school to have experienced it enough to not be surprised.
This just in - surprise headliner's' are wannabe daft punk tribute djs with full attire.
