Memento is awesome... i love that movie... aven't heard about Amnesia tell me about it?

Memento is definitely a unique movie. That's refreshing to see.

There is one thing I don't understand about it though. If he can't make new memories, how does he remember that he has this condition?

mmm.. i think that he got the condition not emidiatly after he got smashed on the head.. it's was explained in the movie that the hypacampus was blocked, but that just doesn't happen right away, i think

Question

i don't understand why he already has the tattoo's when he's lying in bed with his girlfriend, who (offcourse) is @ that moment still alive in the movie (it's @ the end of the movie).

the movie is btw awesome.

for the people who haven't seen the movie, don't read!!

in the end it gets clear that he killed his girl (he just switched his storie with the guy who he has tattood on his hand (maddie i think).. so the girl didn't die when he was attacked in the bathroom, and after that he got his first tattoo..

When i first saw momento posters at the theatre, it reminded me of Magnolia (which completely sucked) for some reason.

Finally, a friend convinced me to watch it a few weeks ago. What an amazing movie. Very unique, well acted, and extremely well writtten. I like movies that you have to see several times to understand them.

On the DVD, you have an option to play the movies in the right order... it's a easter egg.

He killed his wife? I was sure he just already killed the guy who did it, but his life was meaningless if he didn't have anyone to chase, so he made it look like that guy (don't remember his name, he was in the Matrix too) was the killer.

Or am I completely wrong, it's a while since I saw it, I'll have to see it again to clear things up

you're right and i'm right.. he killed his wife, with the diabetes shots!! but he made up the story about the other guy so he could ahve his vengence, and since he can't remember that he killed the john g. he just keeps inventing new ones!!

Momento and Fightclub

For some reason or another, Momento has that same weirdness like Fightclub. Or am I just wrong??

Posted by trancendental on Sep-15-2002 23:42:

I haven't seen the movie yet but I'm confident enough on how good it is that I am going to shell out $40 to get it special edition for DVD. Ya I'm bitch to my stupid senseless ego.

Thumbs down Insomnia...

Just a quick word on Insomnia here...

Don't get worked up about it.

I had very high hopes for the film because of the director, and the principals, but then I went and saw it when it was in the theatre and ended up very disappointed as a result.

I loved seeing Robin Williams as a villain but the plot was lacklustre, and the ending flat out sucked...Memento walks over Insomnia like Fight Club owns Panic Room IMHO
