Tiesto is *rumored* to be there this year, but everything is up in the air right now. Just a few weeks ago it was still set to be at the location that it was last year, but the people that own the grounds jacked up the price by about $100k....so Destiny is looking for another spot. I heard that it is supposed to be somewhere near St. Cathrines...which would be Sweet! for those like me that live in the states!...oh so close!
I'm pretty sure The Orb is set to be one of the headliners. Other than that, I hope that Destiny brings in some fresh talent, rather than the usual, Commander Tom, Mark Eg...Yawn!

I would love to see names like Johan Gielen, Armin Van Buuren and Mauro Picotto. Also, some progressive talent like Danny Howells, Tilt and Breeder would be oohhh sooo nice.

Who would everyone like to see at this event!?

3 months away.....I can't wait!

I would not even want to know how much all the dj's cost put together. I'm guessing around $50,000 depending on how big the headliner is in the Destiny tent. Then you have the cost to rent the soundsystems....lots of $$$$$...and then of course renting out the space and many other little things like hotels for dj's...flyers...etc.

It does add up...and I think the $90 ticket figure is at the "doors" of the event only. I remember getting my ticket last year pre-sale for like $60-65 or so.

When's WEMF? ViceRoy said it is three months away but could someone plz be kind enuff to inform me of the exact date? I am from Vancouver and I am a Tiesto FREAK! He wuz here in October of 2000 and again in March of 2001. I was lucky enuff to attend both of these and both times were just UN-BE-LIEV-A-BLE! I'm telling you right now that if Tiesto is confirmed to spin @ WEMF and if I can take the weekend off, I'm willing to fly over to Ont. wif a couple of my buddies and PARTY WIF Y'ALL! That's how sick this GOD OF TRANCE is....his sets are ALWAYZ sooooooooooo insane. I dunno what you guys pay for a ticket to a party over there but it seems like $90 is kinda high, rite? Welps, if you guys haven't heard Tiesto spin live b4, trust me, $90 will definitely be worth it. Even if you guys dun't like Trance, this guy's set will change your mind =)

ViceRoy is rite about "all the time/money that goes into the party." The AVERAGE cost to throw a 10pm - 8am party in Vancouver including everything (security, lights, sounds, djs, etc.) can run anywhere from $80,000 to $130,000. And this is the price set for a venue that has a capacity of just under 3000. It's a decent venue, no doubt...party-goers pay anywhere from $30 - $60 for a regular ticket prior and $70 - $100 @ door depending how well tix sales have been. VIP tix are usually 15-30 bux on top of the current price for regular tix. [Side note: Depending on the productions team and the DJ lineup, VIPs are NOT always worth getting] Any similar info you can provide for me about Ont. will be greatly appreciated...just curiosity more than anything i guess. =)

sKyBreAK....I hear ya on Corsten...like, is this guy ever gonna come to Canada again or wut? This guy's name is HUGE enuff to land him a spot anywhere around the world...yet he still luvs to stay in Europe?!?!??!?.....grrrrr.

Anyway, I hope I am welcomed by everybody here despite the fact that I'm from Vancouver. =) I would so love to see Tiesto spin again so please, please keep me informed via reply and include any relevant information such as DJ lineup and venue. Thank you guys!

The company I work for, phlux productions is going to have a tent there this year...!!! Much to my dismay it is going to be house/hard house Since Destiny is going to have the trance dj's....we had to have an alternate genre..oh well!...it will be damn fun either way.

im actually good friends with the co-owner of destiny (ERYK S) and i havent heard anything yet but ill be sure to ask him when i see him at ascension 17 next friday
