What artists do you want to see booked in NYC?
Thought it would be interesting to get a discussion going on who we'd like to see come to NYC who hasn't been booked here before or who is rarely booked.
Techno-wise, I've been dying to see Matador. That needs to happen, like yesterday.
House, I'd love to see Dusky. I have been on a huge Dusky kick the past month and have been forcing their music on everyone around me.
Trance, I would looooove another Coldharbour night with different DJs on the roster, like Nifra and Basil O'Glue.
Blackfeel Wite
Yup for Matador/Dusky
Paul Kalkbrenner as a headliner (not in a festival though)
Paolo Mojo (wtf happened to him)
Joseph Capriati
Nina Kraviz
Gayle San
Jon Moyer
Ryksopp
Depeche Mode
I will add more to the list tomorrow
Jaytech (solo show)
Henry Saiz
Activa (been too long)
Carl Cox (never enough)
2nd Paul Kalkbrenner
Luis Junior
Marc Marzenit
Maxime Dangles
Sneijder
Ferry Tayle (what ever happened to this?)

what i want more than random DJs to come is to get a true, proper afterhours club like space in miami. that way DJs booked are always guaranteed to go 4+ hours and you can also easily do another show first and end up at the afterhours club later on for your fix.
nothing like watching the sun come up, hearing banging music and knowing you still have a few more hours to party. space miami has the formula down perfect which is how they've been in business and making a profit for 12 years.
so basically.. if this official space new york club ends up being shitty.. im going to jump off a bridge.
over the past year or so alot more dj's have been traveling to nyc so anyone who thinks the scene is dull i dunno lol
some dj's i wanna see come here more frequent...
guy j
digweed
dave clarke
tommy four 7
audio injection
activa
john o callaghan
carl cox
dj vibe
hernan cattaneo
trance wise i would love to see a party with to me some of the very last of the true trance heros who have remained true to the sound over the years...joof,airwave,solarstone,orkeida. now that ladies and gentlemen would be one for the books
some dj's i would like to see come here for the first time
cid inc
slam
plannetary assult systems
astropilot (live)
manuel le saux
eric sneo
temple one
bryan kearney
i was gonna say oliver lieb but he will be here in a few weeks #legend!!!!!
and if perry o neil were to come back under his new alias patchpark i would probly check him out. nothing will ever top his 03-06 sound the guy was ahead of his time, but his new stuff is interesting
Matt Darey..I know he's been here in the past, but never had a chance to see him (here in NYC at least).

| Originally posted by SebG AYSTAR can attest to this, but he was a huge disappointment when he was here at Cielo few years ago. Instead of playing his nocturnal sessions set/his regular stuff, he played some weird electro/disco music. Zack Roth saved the night at least. |

I'm not so concerned with who comes to play, I'm always pleasantly surprised with some of the best names in techno. The problem lately has been the crowd and I really noticed that this week... now I don't really care about guidos in our scene, but what I can't seem to tolerate is the disrespectful, loud guidos. Pushing/shoving/elbowing, the lack of respect for the space where events are being held, overcrowding... some of these undisclosed locations are someone's home and here comes a band of juiced up shirtless orange meatheads to piss in a corner cos the bathrooms are out of control (yes, it happened) or pushing their way to form their retarded dance circles when there's already no place to move, or loud assholes outside venues where discretion is needed. It just sucks when u go see an act you are really excited about seeing and having a horrible time because of a horrible crowd.

i do see a few gweedo's at some blk market parties but they usually keep to themselves and dont pull any non-sense
