Indeed...this is an amazing album but 013 is better yet. Sasha is truly the man...no one has or ever will do progressive trance like he has done and both GU009 and GU013 are prime examples of this.
yea its great but 13 is better. SOMEBODY STOLE MY CD1. same with my oakenfold GU07 but disk 2. I hate having to go buy them again. Anyways i got the special US only edition whatever that is lol, its got like an extra book with pics in it. The first tracks on the cds are great lol, part of our upbringing is being punched in the throat so goddamn hard
you just bought it? heh. better late than never. yea i love the intro he made for disc 2, and those Breeder tracks are definitely highlights of his mix.
I always wondered:WHO ARE those guys on the intro of disc 2?:That song the guitar dude starts playing is hilarious,I laughed my ass off when I heard it!
yeh that's what im wondering...who the hell are those people in the intro. there's the dude with the raspy voice at the beginning of them. it's funny as hell though.
I think that with time Ill like gu9 more than the 13 masterpiece..its gorwing on me, its cooler,colder, sadder, deeper...just amazing.

Mmmmm, this CD has grown on me so much. Where as 013 is more trance orientated. This CD just gives off this 'cool' vibe. The first tracks on CD1:

Fuck this an awesome selection of tunes, especially that Van Bellen mix! Van Bellen has put out soo many top notch releases except doesn't get as much recognition as he should.
CD2's quite a bit more energetic. Those two Breeder tunes are amazing!! Ditto with the open tracks: Narcotik - Blue
The intro's are done by bums who the Boxed crew passed in the street. They were singing funny, sometimes incoherant shit that they thought they might as well record some of it

Just listened to both 13 and 09, hard to say what one i like more now that they are back to back. The styles are dif, so i dont think its really an even compair. 09 is more my style, but 13 is such a champ, i think id have to just call it even =-P. Sasha is in fact the man though. On a side note anybody els have the US only edition of 9. There is one picture in the extra book of some dude giving sasha a light while he is spinning, choice picture.
yeah i have to say i prefer 009, over 013......but thats just me

they are both Picassos but ist bad if these are the first ones u listen to cause after that, the rest of the GU series is not quite as good............

Heheh cool. Youll see the picture im talking about then, I always like checking out the booklets in CDs Usually find some cool stuff speically in the thank you's and such.

I like GU09 better - it�s more of a "journey" and that really fascinates me.

GU009 is amazing! It's definitely a journey, and I find it very relaxing. As for the intros...they are class!
