Armin on twitter...

so he's become very responsive to his fans, especially during ASOT broadcast, pretty fun reading about all the people bashing the new 'trance' sound, etc. but cool how he's responding to fans and critics.

also, saw this this morning. pretty weird for this to be public, unless it's a marketing stunt.

It's about time someone steps up and doesn't give in to paying more for cheeze.

i don't get it. i'm not on twitter so i don't know who is saying what.

I guess Dash Berlin has demanded more money and is taking it to his fans about not being able to play ASOT600.

Dash Berlin is a greedy sell out obviously. Less shitty music is cool with me though, but any respect I had for their fairy pop group is gone.

i thought their accts got hacked or something..so weird to be talking like that in public.

Nah that was just a rumor started by Lange. Both posts are still up on Twitter, and Armin has more comments after that post, so it's legit.

I think more things like this should be made public. Why keep shitty people hidden from public knowledge? I as a customer would prefer knowing who and who isn't worth a shit. I know a lot of stuff has been made public about Blue Soho, and I think more of these inner workings should be made public when rotten people are involved. The entire industry is going to burst soon enough, egos are flaming, and I'd like to know who is worth supporting when that ego bubble pops.

I'm just thankful that Dash's spot will be filled with a more trancey act hopefully.

It's kinda funny, cuz with out Armin, Dash berlin would be working a regular job probably

I took it as just Armin giving Dash a hard time about not being able to make the show(for whatever reason) in a casual way rather than being completely serious. If Armin really wanted Dash to be there, I'm pretty sure he can use his Armada channels to make him show up. I think people are reading into the tweets and creating drama.

Not sure how you came out with that thought....think his tweets are pretty straight forward and in response to Dash's posting.

I see it as Armin feels Dash is burning him more than anything this.

1. Dash makes post he is not playing at ASOT600. With a sad face. Almost like he wasn't offered.
2. Armin is stunned...how is Dash not playing at ASOT600? He checks in with Dave Lewis, his agent. (And the DA in ARMA-DA...sure you know this, though).
3. Dave Lewis tells Armin that that they offered him more than ever before, but was turned down saying it's not enough and Dave Lewis wasn't willing to go higher. If he turned down Dave Lewis, co-founder of Armada, what channels through Armada are there?
4. Armin comes back and asks Dash why he didn't take the offer? "And why do you play it like this?" can be seen as "why did you come out and post that he wasn't playing at ASOT600 knowing a high offer had been made and you are the one who turned it down?" Or it can be seen as, "After all I've done for you, you go b-i-t-c-h mode on me and turn down this offer then act all innocent by tweeting you aren't playing at ASOT600 with your sad face, knowing you got a good offer and being the one who turned it down."


Of course, this is all IMO.
But, that's IMO.

the real question is: is dash berlin worth it? IMO not at all.

Not sure what the hype is for him. I am a trance fan and his stuff is cheese galore.

that is how i interpreted it as well. it's interesting to see, how quickly people can turn their backs on the ones that made them big...

Dash Berlin was obviously upset at not getting his demands met... and that's the only reason why he tweeted that! He will no doubt regret doing that...cuz he's made himself look a right dickhead! Cheese Berlin - go away!!

That happens A LOT in the music industry.

If it wasn't for Laidback Luke, you wouldnt know a Afrojack or Avicii (for better or for worst). But when he asks for a favor in return, they seem to never get back with him.

But Luke doesn't get upset over it, he just shrugs it off because he knows it's part of the business...

I'm not a Dash fan but I guess I didn't think Dash would use twitter as a negotiation tactic and I didn't think Armin would stoop to Dash's level if he did. I guess I'm naive. haha

Yes, I knew about Armada/David Lewis, but I figured since Dash is an Armada artist, although not represented by Lewis, Dash would feel some obligation to attend ASOT 600 because of the other half of Armada, Armin. But maybe this is exactly the reason why Dash's tweet is causing some controversy to begin with.

Yeah, steve angello as well. and many more. actually if you go on luke's forum from 4-5 years ago, you'll find posts from max literally begging luke to play his track, nowadays max's ego is so big you can see it from mars..

in any event, looks like they "resolved" it and both deleted their tweets

Dash Berlin is a producing group.

Only one tours as a DJ and is the public face of Dash Berlin. You never see the other two on any flyers. And for the twitter account, it's mainly just the DJ.

Anyhow, stop fucking trolling.

armin said he is going to talk about HIM(dash berlin, the blonde dude) on asot tomorrow.

Maybe bigperf is referring to my post. Yes, I know Dash Berlin is a group. My bad for referring to them as "him". I don't think it took away from the main point of the thread, which is twitter drama. But I will make sure to use the correct pronoun next time.
