Recommend a good computer strategy game please

Not exclusively online either please. Im gonna be stuck on a plane for a while & want good game or two that will help keep me occupied. Back in the day I used to play Red Alert 2 & Age of Empires. So maybe something along those lines. I have not been into gaming in years due to lack of free time so I thought I would give this a whirl here. Thanks in advace

COMPANY OF HEROES is where it's at!

probably $10 or $5 on steam, too lazy to look. but it's World War 2 amazing super duper fun.
