Politely asked for some recommendations re: sets/productions showing why the top artists in this year's RA Top DJs poll are loved by so many, hoping to have some friends suggest some great new music for me to check out. Instead, got a dickhead reply from a clown, proving that any semblance of this forum's former greatness is gone. So I'm done with TOTA. Peace and good luck all. Cheers.

bah, wrong thread :P
Really?
You know what I do when I see a chart, list, ranking, event, article etc with someone I don't know or unfamiliar with...
I open up another tab, go to Youtube, and I search them... look up their singles, live performances, interviews etc of them.
I just did it myself with the few on this list I didn't know, some I still didn't know. Others, after hearing only a few seconds of the track I realized that I have heard their sound/productions before.
.
Very helpful actually.
You want ME to write up a fuckin report and essay on 20 different artist and producers that I've been following for the past year and longer and present it to YOU because YOU'RE to lazy to take maybe one, two hours out of you afternoon and start googling, some youtube link jumping, etc and form your own opinion.
You're also asking the forum to tell YOU why THEY like the artists/producers on this list rather than perhaps find out for yourself.
You're at an advantage here guy, thousands of people worldwide have already potentially narrowed down your research to 100, or even 20 top specific artists to go explore.
How about YOU go listen to Maceo Plex, Seth Troxler, Ben Klock, or Ricardo Villalobos and tell me what YOU think of them.
BTW, Ricardo has been on that list for years, so it's not exactly growndbreaking that he's on there again, and to be honest, I still don't know he's in the top 10, so maybe you can listen to his stuff and let me know.
Awesome.
Thanks for making my decision easy.
Peace TOTA, it was fun...for a while.
Of course you're going to run away...
I am asking you to go get YOUR opinion on these artist. ESPECIALLY since you are an "artist" and "producer" yourself. Research, listen, gather your thoughts on the artist and their productions, come back and I'll be more than happy to discuss it with you, in depth even.
But, don't expect to be spoon fed other people's views on music that you admittedly have not even listened to yourself and expect me to tell you why it's considered good, or why these artists are considered by the public to at the top of their game the past 365 days.
great thread lol

Free post.
I just stubbed my toe on a coffee table, causing every atom in by body to divide, sending every proton, neutron, and electron through time. The atoms then moved back in time and arranged themselves into the coffee table. Now I am forever stuck in a temporal loop of absolute annihilation. Any advice?
I'm not going to lie.
I am not going to miss Nick Cenik or whatever the fuck his name is posting links to his music.

A techno DJ that is not familiar with Ben Klock's work in 2012 is a complete and utter joke.
Can a mod rename this thread "Nick Cenik's last post on TOTA ever"?
