That's not true, you clearly didn't understand what I wrote. Let me rephrase: I would love this set if it weren't for those vocals. But if you need to have someone singing on top of a track to enjoy it these days then maybe yea we're not into the same stuff.
Basically if you remove the vocals we still like the same stuff
And actually, sometimes I enjoy them a lot. Like Bicep, I think we can both agree on them. They do it right. A lot of people don't and I think it takes a certain ear to be able to tell who does and who doesn't.
Too many vocals for the sake of vocals these days. Sing something original, and sing it well. This sampling bullshit needs to stop for the most part.

You'd have to point out the specific time

This Bicep garage revival type stuff is kinda fun but after an hour or so you just get a tooth ache. Too much candy.

Hasn't deep house been the thing since like 2008?

ahh yes, the SCENE
Yes, the concept of "scenes" exists and influences music that is popular.
Your point? For going off on me the other day for making silly and useless comments you sure seem eager to do the same.
Nothing, I just like talking about scenes and scene-related things.
I think either techno is gonna come back really strong, or this garage/90's house revival is gonna ride out for a few more years. Thoughts?
My thought is that who fucking cares?

it is. half of the people playing "deep house" are playing a sad imitation of what deep house really is/was. There is a reason most of the big names in deep house are playing things from a long time ago. Things might change, but rough and raw analog still has a place. Vocals? fuck yeah.
aka, rhodes =/= proper deep house.

PREACH BROTHA!
i thought you were a sister though? you don't live life at 118 breasts per minute.
yeah that's what i mean, i'm not talking about the techy deep house as of late, but the progressive-y deep style like Evren Ulusoy and Sasse stuff.
I see DnB making a comeback as well over the past weeks.
