Yes, they're rummored every year. But according to a news posting by Evolution 107.1 FM in Boston (Clear Channel's ALL EDM radio station that launched today), DP should be playing at Coachella 2013 along with The Rolling Stones.

I don't get the hype about Daft Punk from all these neon ravers. I can't wait to see Daft finally play and the massive complaining because they didn't hear levels. They only heard some sampling by Kanye for that one song and all of a sudden they were fans of Daft.

Doesn't surprise me that they would talk rumors as facts, the people who work at Clear Channel are idiots. The producer is probably burn out that just bounced from a different job two weeks earlier like with every other Clear Channel station.
