i'm new to producing...i used to use impulse tracker to make trance but i want to use the new software that's out there. my question is i want to buy a daw like ableton or logic...but i don't know where to get samples like beats hi hats basslines and synth sounds and effects from. a lot of producers like junkie xl make them selves .... i don't have all those oscillators and equipment...are there any daws like reason or fruity loops that come with samples and sounds?

i want to make progressive house and trance..what daw do you recommend and where do i get the sounds from?

Yes, Daws typically come with all the effects you can think of, if you buy the full versions. they typically come with classic drum kits, 808, 909's and such. We these days develop our sounds in VST's. virtual synthesizers, download some free ones. you can find all you need on google.

If you really want to produce, i'd recommend ableton if you have the patience to learn. best daw period in my opinion. read the stickys, google stuff.

thanks for the reply i got the ableton demo and it doesn't come with anything. its just the program. do fruity loops and reason come with beats and synth sounds in the package? i'm looking for a daw that has all the sounds built in because i'm new and i don't know how to make them myself
