Hello, I could convert .avi files and incompatible .mp4 files into kindle Fire HD files. However, not one has been converted correctly, and won't play the Kindle Fire HD. Could you please let me know a fix?

Probably it is not related to conversion part but transfer part, maybe you used a wrong way to move those videos to the tablet. Refer to below guide page about how to transfer videos, images, etc to Kindle Fire HD.
