UNREAL TOURNAMENT 2003 DEMO

After I heard about this game, I built my PC! Intel P4 2600 Mhz, Asus Nvidia Geforce 4 Ti4600. This abby runs smooht at all settings maximixed at a 1024x rez! What do you think about the game? The graphics are the best I HAVE EVER SEEN and the fun factor is unmatched!
9.83/10
!
-What do you think?
the game is identical to unreal tournament. which isn't bad, but it isn't good.
same game, but pretty.
kinda like the rank 1 remix of ligaya, or Dreamland.

i have everything turned on at 800*600 with my geforce 4 mx 460, 800mhz thunder and 786 ram and everything is smooth.
but i'm a bit disapointed... its too crowded visually. I can never know where I am exactly in the map, its basically like running around like a chicken without a head.
Quake 3 is still way better in that department.
Ive always been Unreal/UT fan over the Id offerings... I'm not sure what to consider of UT2K3.. I can't say whether the new "Unreal 2" engine is by far more beautiful than the original, since the three maps included don't necesserly do justince to the game...
Other than that, the weapons are all the same, except the rocketlauncher now defaulting to instant rocket, and maximum load capacity being three.
The initial beta release was buggy as fuck tho... it does look like epic wanted to push this thing asap, even unfinished (due to the fact they missed a deadline back a month ago).
That all being said, I'm more anxious to play Unreal 2 when it's out.. and Deus Ex 2.... As for Doom 3.. hell, my graphic card won't prolly run it (but it's still at least one card-generation off, so who cares?)...
Oh, btw 7C, in 1024x768 even my 2 year old Radeon DDR runs the game descently (apparently.. no timedemo command prevents to test real performance).. With the comp of your caliber you should be running 1600x1200 (or the highest your monitor supports it)...
hehe my settings are turned on max..
and dude 30 weapons in full release
50 characters in full release
and 2x higher rez in full release, they needed to make it lower for download size!
SO DONT JUDGE IT ON DEMO!!
First impressions are it's alright, but nothing special (unlike Battlefield 1942
). Anyway, my poor Geforce 2 Ti isn't powerful enough to run it decently so if I did like it I'd have to buy a Geforce 4 as well as the game, which is a bit expensive.
God, I can't wait till this comes out in December.
where can i download the demo?
can't wait for DOOM 3 but this will do till then..
btw, isn't there a gaming forum for these posts?
Ive a AMD 1800+, Ti 4600, 512MB, IT runs like a bitch, Hi Res textures to the max, and its one of the best games this year. There is also a patch to dl for Voodoo, and Matrox users.
9.83/10?

nerds?
I cant play the ******...
My videoCard doesn't support it...
Go into the UT2003 folder, then \system and you'll see a app called benchmark.exe. run it and it'll ask what resolution to benchmark in
I get
1024x768
Flyby: 112
Botmatch: 51
My system
AMD Athlon XP2000+ [email protected]
512 MB DDR Ram
Geforce3 Ti200 128mb 175/400@240/486
Asus A7V266
SB Live! Value
Det 29.42
It's heavily CPU dependant by the looks of it. The flyby runs fine but adding the bots AI processing and physics modeling kills the CPU i guess. It's an amazing physics engine though, shoot a bot and he'll fall down and slide down the hill slowly and roll towards the bottom heh heh.
It's different from UT but i think i could grow to like it a lot
