The second half of my warm up set from IllumiNaughty: Welcome to our Birthday 7th Party. I played 10:00 - 12:00 and this set starts from when I began to get an audience in front of me.

2. Aladiah vs. Signs - Crystal Alchemy
3. 00.db - Luma
4. Aladiah - Cosmic Area
5. Invisible Reality - Visibility (Sunstryk remix)
6. Solar Fields - Black Arrow
7. Jirah - The Visitor
8. Liquid Soul - Devotion (Lyctum remix)
9. Ace Venture - Exposed (Liquid Soul remix)
10. Perfect Stranger - Ode Au Sol (Liquid Soul remix)
11. Rocky - Largetto (Gaudium remix)
It was an awesome night - and with any luck Mr Dave King will also re record his set from the after party, which took the roof clean off
Just for clarity, the night was supposed to start at 10 but they didn't open the doors until 10.50, leaving a massive queue of disgruntled people standing outside. Luckily for Jon one of the DJs in his room dropped out and he got to play for an extra hour, later in the night, rather than getting 10 minutes. I think I was about the fifth person to walk into the main room, just as he mixed in Stone Cold. Not a bad tune to start the night, really.
The soundsystem in the main room was absolutely amazing - really loud and punchy but with clarity on the mids and treble, and you could still hold a conversation without shouting - and you got the full "big room" reverby sound in such a large space. These tracks sounded absolutely amazing in there, perfectly fitted the look and feel of the room, especially when the lights went down just as Jon moves into the darker psy material towards the end.
I thought this was an amazing set on the night, and having listened back this morning it still holds up on the headphones. The flow is really, really good and that transition into Black Arrow is gorgeous. Quite a bold decision to drop that, and it sounded incredible through those speakers. That polyrhythmic mid-section in particular is absolute genius. And to follow it with Jirah - The Visitor was perfect as well.
Cheers for the review Jack - it was a special night for me, and I'm really glad you thought I got the music right

I've listened back to this a few times, still as good as on the night!
Absolutely love that Aladiah track, that lead sound is proper "big room"! I remember thinking "this is awesome" at the Academy.
I know you were worried about how to pitch it warming up for more full-on psy but I think you got it absolutely spot on, nice one!

Listened to this a few times now. All I can say is that I wish I was there.
I'll be in England starting October though (for 12 months), most likely Leicester, so I'll be able to hop on the train and have some epic UK times with you d00ds. That is, if it's cheap to travel via rail in England.
Another TA to go on the smash with
Looks wicked! Fucking wish I was still over there with you guys. Can't wait to give this a listen

Oh man this mix is badass and i'm halfway thru it.
Man, this mix is slammin', I'm nearing the Solar Fields track soon(very nice choice btw) and the mixing is very nice so far.
Been giving this a lot of love, lately, Jon. Definitely my favorite set I've heard from you. Excellent work, mate.

Tip top track selection but to program it well is another thing. Being bored with many recent trance sets this one was well paced. Black Arrow felt like a nice turning point for the mix too as it rejuvenated the set for me with its structure going from calm to acid line city. Overall I liked how you just didn't play just psy-trancey stuff throughout, it felt diversified with uplifting to dark tracks.
