Pro and Con of not having a job
Just got hired full-time from a good 8 months out with part time work here and there. My thoughts after all of this...
Pros:
1. unemployment(Had a PT job so did never get the full amount)
2. Updates on girlsinyogapants.com
3. Waking up after 10am(except if your friend calls you at 9am constantly thinking its alright!)
4. Making food whenever you want
5. Obtaining hobbies easier
6. Watching movies at anytime
7. No routine
Cons:
1. Trying to avoid life passing you buy
2. Finance tracking much more important
3. Anger at jobs being turned away because "it's the nature of the beast" <--love this one.
4. Unemployment runs out
if your unemployed right now or were, I knew the feeling so add some of your pro and cons to the post. If you had work since college you don't need to post.

Pros: Games more interesting at first
Pisses dykes on jay off
Cons:
Movies less interesting
Games eventually lose all interest
Everything loses interest
Everything
You are fucking kidding, right?
There is only one thing you need to list.
Pro:
Money
Unemployment fucking sucks.
I've found jobs, but they're not necessarily what I thought I'd be doing. At this moment in time, since I'm staying with family, they are helping me save money while looking for that one job I really want. More importantly, working even though one of my jobs is 90 percent done at home or wherever else I want gets me out of the house, which I find to be as important as making money. There's something to be said about social interaction and feeling like you've put in a honest and hard days work, rather than sitting at home figuring out ways to occupy your time beside job hunting, reading and working out.
I'm not a "home body" to begin with, so it drives me absolutely crazy if I'm not out and about keeping myself busy and feeling like I'm accomplishing something.
Purpose is everything, in my opinion. Without it, life can get depressing.

If you even have your HS degree at the most your not retarted and know how to get a job. 1. Apply 2. Wait 3. Good as in get the job, Bad as in did not get the job As long as I was happy throughout this process and not worrying about anyone else and no one worries about me then that was my way of doing things to this point. |

| Originally posted by Trancealot Why. Because I stressed all this adivce that everyone gave me like. Don't give up, Keep on trying. You'll get there. That mad me more angry and being more angry leads to less chance getting a job. Being more happy by the less stupid adivce I got helped me. |

Being more angry, doesn't lead to less of chance of getting a job, it leads me to the conclusion that you are either 16 or a retard. THERE IS AN AGE SPECIFIED TO BE ANGRY NOT HAVING A JOB?? YOU'RE THE FEELING POLICE OR SOMETHING? There is nothing "good" about not having a job, in any sense the word good should in no way begin to describe unemployment. YEAH THERE IS GOOD. I JUST LISTED MINE?? PLUS IF YOU ARE OUT OF WORK YOU MIGHT FIND SOMETHING BETTER AT ONE POINT THEN YOU HAD BEFORE Life isn't about being happy its about being a responsible human being, to you and others. How is leeching off an unemployment system a good thing? You are only hurting yourself and those that have to actually work to pay for your unemployment. LEACHING?? WELL I DID NOT EVEN GET THE FULL AMOUNT BECAUSE I HAD PT WORK IF YOU READ MY POST I STATED PLUS I DID TRY LOOKING FOR WORK BECAUSE THEY KEEP TRACK OF YOUR ASS AS YOU COLLECT IT. |

Life is not about having the right number of chromosomes.
I used my time during unemployment to retool my skills. Read lots of books and learned some more programs that I had limited knowledge in. I turned a negative in a positive.

Do you ever read what you're writing before you post it?

Better go lay down cripple.
Nice comeback, fag.
I just got engaged to a beautiful girl last night. You're still a cripple. lol
pros:
free time to read, learn and improve yourself so you can be that much better prepared for when a job you really like comes along. you can also use the time to prepare to switch careers or something. also, if the downtime isn't too long between jobs (say a few months tops), it'll just refresh you, kinda like a vacation.
cons:
little or no money
no benefits <-- this can be huge in a country like the US where getting ill has the potential to bankrupt you! risky-ass shit
not getting out of the house, can turn you into a couch potato if you're not careful...next thing you know you've gained a ton of weight lol
