Posted by brunette on Sep-19-2002 01:55:

I hope you realize how lucky you are to have such a sick club in your backyard!

I love the place but its such a bloody mission to get there

Posted by monishb on Sep-19-2002 05:36:

i just moved to eglinton and dufferin. can anyobody pick me up from there friday night?

Posted by beatjunkie on Sep-19-2002 13:13:

Wow

I think this is making Viva one of the premier clubs in the area. Signing Oliver to residency.... Good move! I'll have to check this place out soon.

KarateKid

can't make it this friday cuz i hav some crap to do on Sat.. altho i'll definately be dropping in for a M.O. residency set sometime soon!

Maxtuh.. if u can bus it to Finch or maybe Steeles and Woodbine, i would not mind picking ya up there..

Posted by High Spirit on Sep-19-2002 13:59:

That's pretty sweet...
Is he still going to be at the guv?

Posted by Fir3start3r on Sep-19-2002 14:13:

GTFO! ....very cool....

Kutos to the promotion guys at VIVA, they've been doing a great job of giving us an alternate to the GUV for change.

The number one reason I like VIVA better than GUV?
They HAVE a door policy and you can actually DANCE there...

Good work!!

Posted by Durafei on Sep-19-2002 14:14:

Is he gonna be spinning Trance or Progressive there?

Progressive Trance!! (I hope)

Posted by Crazy Serb on Sep-19-2002 15:05:

That's some great news, but Viva is just too freakin' far away...
Then again, if the promoters at Viva would offer some sort of special discount to TA's, I might actually bother getting a ride all the way there or something...

(all right, enough b.s., back to class)

Noooooo! I'm not a big fan of Mark's Progressive style. However, he is one of the main reason's I love trance.

Plus there are plenty of Progressive clubs around namely Breathe @ System on the same night.

Keep the main focus at Viva TRANCE! Hard, Melodic and Bangin'. I say send Mark back in time to '98 where he played some amazing trance sets.

Either way its a great move for Viva. He is one of the biggest names in our scene. So i guess Viva is on THE map! Unfortuneltly its way out in the fringes of the map.

Viva shuttle buses?

Posted by mute79 on Sep-19-2002 15:44:

uhh, sorry, what kind of door policy??

good job on getting the best local dj as resident though!

Posted by Durafei on Sep-19-2002 16:09:

I think it's good that VIVA is so far away.
This way it'll never be as packed as Guv Besides, I'm pretty sure it's much cheaper to rent space this big so far from downtown TO. This makes it cheaper for us as well !

Posted by brunette on Sep-19-2002 16:15:

What is the door policy? And what is the cover (for spec. and non-spec. events?)

Posted by Durafei on Sep-19-2002 16:16:

I guess door policy means that they keep count of people who come in. That way they are never over-capacity. They simply don't let anyone in when they are over capacity

has anyone managed to successfully read (and understand) the second paragraph on that flyer? the guys at viva could use some proofreading before going to print!

Posted by Special K on Sep-19-2002 16:28:

Yea I noticed that too...the flyer looks pretty cool tho...!!!

DAMN TYPOS!! Thank god it has not been printed yet. An updated should be posted by them shortly..

A shuttle bus sounds like a good idea. Question is, where should they be rolling from? Union Station??

My House sounds good! But make it a Viva Limo Instead.

Should be somewhere within "the entertainment district". Nathan Phillips Square has been the traditional rave bus meet up for years....
