Doesn't stand out in any particular way IMO. My problem with this type of stuff now is that it's too thin and digital sounding. It always ends up sounding awkward in a club.

Its funny that you mention this, when i had downloaded a free trial of ableton a while back I would usually drop some harder basslines i would steal from twilo era prog on top of these type of tracks and it was amazing just how much better they sounded. Felt like a real club track as opposed to home listening prog. Cant figure out why more people dont do similar stuff in the studio.

Yep agreed. Also what's cool is to mix this kind of stuff with modern tech house which really pumps up the energy level and makes it a lot more danceable. Try it out sometime. I'm referring to relatively stripped-down, percussion-led tech house. Like if you play a set and basically play one of each (prog->tech->prog->tech) the effect can be really interesting. But on its own, a lot of this stuff sounds like ambient music with a beat.

I don't think Bubbles is made with the club in mind, Wakening could work. But i don't understand why you think this is thin, it's far from minimalistic there are several elements ongoing but i would love to hear this tunes in a warm up set. With the bassline of another track may punch though.
