F1: A woman driving a McLaren?
Sarah Fisher (USA) will make her debut this week in Indianapolis driving a McLaren (that's what Reuters said). It's a bit unusual to have women driving in F1 (specially a McLaren, who always had male drivers). Actually, the last woman in F1 was Giovanna Amati (ITA) in 1992, but she didn't really succed
Anyway, what do you guys think about it?
Just in case, here's a picture of her:

Wow, this sure is a popular thread
Well she's not really gonna race......Hop to :

for details.
Sarah Fisher goes to school in Ohio...near here. i dont know how well she will do...F1 is pretty much based on tech, so mclaren is a good team to drive for. shes not bad...as far as IRL goes, but thats not saying much...
good luck to her, but F1 is not IRL, F1 isnt even CART - totally different|

From what I understand it's just a promotional thing. She will only drive in Indianapolis at Friday noon. For those unfamiliar with the F1 weekend schedule, on Fridays there are two 1-h practice sessions. These are used by the teams to find the best set-ups. On Saturday morning there are also 2 1-h practice sessions followed by the qualifying session at 13:00. It lasts for 1-h & each driver can complete a max of 12 laps. From here we get the starting grid for the race. On Sunday there is a small warm-up session in the morning & then the race at 13:00. Fisher will make her demo run after the practice sessions on Friday. I don't think this a "test" in anyway, meaning that I do not believe McLaren intend to hire her in the foreseeable future.
