John 00 Fleming - WKO
Anyone check out his new album yet? Haven't gotten it yet, wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts/opinions about it.

What a coincidence, I finally took the album with me to work so I can give it a listen. Just finished it and after a first go I am amazed, I'm sure I will love it even more after few more, there is just so much going on there. It's a trip from beginning to end, it feels like a concept album.
I can't help but compare it to Airwave - Dark Lines a little. Not to say that they are very similar, no they're not, but you can hear some similar accents on both albums. Maybe it's the dark tone of J00F's album, just like Dark Lines's darker tone. I guess it's that tone is what makes me compare them both. The feeling I get is that the Dark Lines is more of a journey through dark, enchanted forests and WKO is more of like an exploration of a darker side of space. At least that's how I interpret it when listening to this album, maybe title names have something to do with steering me in that direction, lol. Not sure if it makes sense to anyone or is convincing enough, but you shouldn't need much convincing anyway, it's J00F's album!
Anyway, it's a great great album and sure early candidate for trance album of the year.
It is, by far, the greatest artist album I've discovered since Above & Beyond released Tri-State. Maybe the best album I've ever heard.

It's criminal that he has to share the booth with anyone at the Pure Trance party in SoBe next week. Solarstone and GO: you guys are A level DJs but Fleming needs 4 hours minimum! Dude is on another level.

See that is tempting. We simply do not get trance shows like this anywhere in Florida, aside from a few events during WMC (but obviously there's 3+ DJs on the bill for those events during WMC). I guess I'll have to inspect the damage WMC will leave upon my bank account and make my decision then.
