Talking DJ Tiesto - Live at Club Space (08-18-02)

Smiley DJ Magical!

I just wanted to know why you are fighting about who has the right tracks... Enjoy the set as a whole, as I am sure Tiesto meant it to do.
Tiesto always puts a smile on my face... be it his perfect selection of tracks, his delivery, or the smily face and excitement he always puts forth.
Next Friday, DJ Taucher at Club Space, downtown Miami. C U there...

hmm quite disappointed with this. Pretty much the same track selection of every other set he has done since February ah well...

Posted by SlinkySkev on Sep-19-2002 22:09:

I haven't downloaded a Tiesto set since AG died.
Gonna be nice to hear some of his newer track selections

Posted by Fast Turtle on Sep-20-2002 03:30:

He's been playing the same stuff for almost 6 months now...

Posted by Swamper on Sep-20-2002 05:18:

Well I haven't had a tiesto set up on here for over a year...

Sooo.. how 'recent' his set is compared to others over the last few months is pretty irrelevant...

Remember guys, we're in the minority, the vast majority of the people who download the set are not people who download livesets all the time and can notice these trends and/or care - they just want to listen to something relatively recent from a DJ they like.

Simple.

Thumbs up

I really liked this set. Great track selection.

Thanx

Sneaker Pimp

HE PLAYED MOONSHINE HEHE

great job on this set, truly.

Oh and to all the those people whining about track selection, just SHUT UP! I didn't hear you crying when Pvd played half of the same tracks from his Knebworth set on his Rosenmontags set.
Also keep in mind this set is over a month old. Besides, I actually like that he played these same tunes as when I saw him at Area 2, brought back LOTS of good memories

Thanks for the set Swamper. I always wished I could have somehow got a recording of his live performance when I saw him here. this is the next best thing

i was there and i must say it was incredible

Posted by Rolla on Sep-29-2002 19:48:

anyone got a .CUE for this one?

Posted by sebby on Oct-02-2002 04:46:

A nice overall set. I personally liked the second half better. It's prolly cuz Tiesto threw in those two old tracks that Oakenfold played on one of his great essential mixes in 1999/2000. For all you guys out there that know what I'm talking about, I hope you felt the same way I did when those two tracks played.

Some tracks here have been played for a while, but that's okay. It was good to hear them again. Voted 8/10.

u kno, this set was pretty good IMO.. what ruined it for me was all of the bickering going on in the "view tracklisting" thread. I knew there was gonna be whining about Tiesto's tendancy to not really change it up often, but i expected it to be in this thread "review/feedback" i usually try to only look at tracklists as i'm d/ling and then read the feedback after i listened to the set and could form my own opinion, but you guys can't keep it in one spot.. anyways, this set kept my attention, only annoying parts where radio comercial breaks.

Damn Straight man! I was just waiting to hear Lethal Industry dropped in this set because when I saw him that was the one track that just Shredded the place apart, and of course right before the melody comes in they cut it off and it starts back up in the middle of some other track

I'm really looking forward to when another trance-god such as Tiesto comes back. Partying with fellow TA's and others who have this same obsessive love for this music that I do is a truly awesome experience.

Of course with this R.A.V.E. bill being voted on everyone around here is fucked. Buzz and Ultraworld, the two biggest dance venues in the metro-DC area have been shut down just because of the heat coming from this issue. I know this isn't the right thread for this, but PLEASE do whatever you can to fight this. So far the greatest experiences of my life have been seeing such great DJ's as Tiesto, Oakenfold and Digweed, and I don't want my own government to take these experiences away from me and other clubbers who are just out to have a good time.

BTW, I wonder what Tiesto and PvD and other Dj's think about the issue?

Posted by CrackedLcd on Nov-03-2002 01:10:

I thought the set was one of the best I've ever heard from him...

Posted by mansie on Nov-08-2002 11:44:

Dunno

Yeah, I think its a great set too. Haven't got much of the man lately. So i'm not complaining about the tracklist.

Beside that; Tiesto is/was on a big tour in he US so he didn't have much time to make and listen to new records???

How about that! Anyone thought about that fact?

Well, however I like the set and that's what matters.

Posted by trancer_guy on Nov-10-2002 06:24:

I didn't like this and i was disappointed. THis song sounded nothing like tiesto's old live sets. Something is wrong.

Posted by Teknikol on Nov-12-2002 20:35:

I really enjoy this liveset! Especially the first time, because I "discovered" Project Medusa Vs Exor - Moonshine (Exor Mix Part 2)!

w00t!

Dancing Dude

I gotta say that i dug this mix as whole. It seems clear that regardless of the freshness of this mix, Tiesto does a nice job of 2 things. Firstly, all his tracks sound good on thier own; they're all good picks. Secondly, the tracks work together in a way to create threads which unify set.
More importantly, though, does anyone know the name of the track the track that starts at around 33:00 and features those bad-ass vocals? If somebody could give me the heads up, it would be much appriecated.

holla back

some weird noises during the set. am i the only one to hear that?

Posted by nettwerk on Apr-15-2003 14:36:

I liked this set overall. Has some grat tracks (and SS, too *\o/*), and the crowd is always present.. Wht ruins it is the rdio stuff

8.5/10

Posted by Citizen X on Apr-17-2003 05:02:

This is my favorite trance set so far and I think it will stay so for a long time. Even to this day I haven't heard a live set that would top this one. I love how all the tracks flow perfectly from one to the other while maintaining the mood. I wish I was there in Miamy when Tiesto played this.

Posted by AndskiSpeed on Oct-01-2003 23:34:

I used to love it, listened to the other day and thought 'The mixing on this is so crap' and the tracks hardly fit very well together either.

Ah well, was good the first time I listened to it.

Posted by revwib on Oct-02-2003 01:27:

Great Set. That's it.

Great set, I don't care if he played it last week, month or whatever. Amazing tracklist and nice mixing. I'll take it.
