Who loves soup?

How am I just discovering Lentil soup now... fucking amazing these things are.

What are your favourites? Mine are definitely Lentil now. Thick yellow vegetable broth Lentil.

Incredible.

Post recipes or share experiences with different types of soups.

I love red lentil soup. Have it quite often. Soup has a lot of salt though, that's the only downside. Otherwise it's a satisfying, low-calorie meal.

If you're buying canned soup maybe. Make your own. So much better.

This should be a soup thread imo. Yay soup!

soup?

Posted by Silky Johnson on Apr-17-2013 20:40:

Yes, soup. Soup-a-loop.

I got an awesome soup recipe book for my bday a couple years ago...has pretty much any soup you can think of....including lentil soup. A few different recipes with lentils, in fact. I should post when I get home.

Oh lol, it already is a soup thread. Derp. I thought the title was just "Lentils".

Research done recently has shown it is better for breasts to go braless.

I for one wouldn't mind you posting those recipes here. I fucking love soup.

Just discovering lentil soup made me extremely disappointed in myself but also glad I did.

P.S. Changing thread title

Sweet. Will post some of my favorite recipes when I get home!

One night all we had in the house was a bag of shrimp and some tarragon...and a whole shit ton of garlic. Googled those ingredients + soup and got an amazing recipe for garlic + shrimp soup. Holy fuck it is so amazing...warm and creamy. I will post that one for sure.

Pea and ham soup is probably my favourite, followed by pumpkin soup. Shrimp and garlic soup sounds incredible though.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Apr-17-2013 21:25:

GF makes an awesome chicken soup. Buy a chicken. Boil the shit out of it to make a stock. Filter out the broth from the chicken and add some barley to it. cook the barley in till it's almost done then add veggies of your choice. Carrots, celery, etc. Cook them till their done, then add the chicken pieces back in. Eat.

Bean sprout soup. Seaweed soup. Wonton soup. Actually, any soup that my mom makes

Posted by Guest on Apr-17-2013 22:50:

I actually haven't tried seaweed soup but am tempted to. How salty is it? I have a feeling it'd be pretty mouth-drying

Posted by Sushipunk on Apr-17-2013 23:20:

Seaweed soup is good stuff, definitely try it.
