Good music to study

After my famous topic GOOD music to sleep, GOOD music to relax, GOOD music to fuck , here's my last one : GOOD MUSIC TO STUDY !

i guess i always need music

Posted by pinoying on Sep-21-2002 00:20:

lately, i been studying to mixes from dave seaman and S&D. progressive kinda gets me in that mindset i guess

Posted by butterfly on Sep-21-2002 00:24:

when i was in school i used to listen to oakie's tranceport a lot when i studied. and some other things too....

Either progressive or chillout. You can't have something going all over the place like trance cuz it makes it hard to concentrate.

true, but not too monotonous and boring tho, or it'll put you into sleep. here are my picks..

singles:
Breeder - Tyrantanic (Slacker's Kingdom Come Remix)
Satoshi Tomiie - Virus
Barraka - Song To The Siren (Max Graham Remix)
Ryuichi Sakamoto & David Sylvian - Heartbeat (tainai kaiki II) - Returning To The Womb <-- downtempo
Crustation - Purple<-- trip-hop

albums:
Sneaker Pimps - Splinter
John Digweed - GU013: Hong Kong
Radiohead - Kid A
Tangerine Dream - 220 Volts Live
DJ Tiesto - In Search of Sunrise (all 3 of them)
Sasha - Airdrawndagger
Orbital - Middle of Nowhere
Orbital - In Sides
Leftfield - Leftism

and dozens more

GU013 is Sasha Ibiza...an excellent album to choose!

umm i cant handle music with much in the way of vocals when i study...most sasha is perfect cause its musical, melodic and changes enough to keep you interested. generally i dont listen to music much when i study tho...only when im doing math or stats or something, and that isnt often.

and...since i listen to music pretty much ALL the time, i dont study often and for very long|

I usually study to the GU compilations, usually 013 or 007. But I also find Paul Oakenfold's Essential Mix World Tour good to study to as well. Space in Ibiza and Rojam in Shanghai, China are great!

"Halcyon + on + on" too

Just listen to anything without lyrics and not too energetic, otherwise, you'll be dancing instead of thinking

Cafe Del Mar Volumen 1-9 are pretty non-intrusive and so that's what I usually listen to when I'm studying.

chris fortier bedrock 3 is a brilliant cd. i listen 2 some sander k alot

I don't get how all you people study with music playing in the background. It just doesn't work for me, not even easy listening or classical music. I need complete silence in order to concentrate, no tv, not even people talking next to me.
