I don't' think popular music changes often enough to be able to say what the "next big thing" will be.

Barn.

It will be all the rage when country music singers start incorporating synths and drum machines into songs about beer, cows, and guns. Of course, there will be the various subgenres, like progressive barn, acid barn, tech barn, deep barn, hard barn, and fidget barn.

yeah that would be very cool, right now the hipster movement is what is trending in europe, as any stupid trend is associated with a way of thinking, a way of dressing and of course the kind of music you listen. right now electro/dubstep is what is being popular same as in America, but i am seeing that Kalkbrenner and that kind of stuff is becoming very popular, with some pubs and coffes starting to put on playlist deep/lounge tracks.

This is actually a good thing as i prefer this kind of music, a blend of deep house and indie rock music is what it will be all about in 2 years in my opinion.

The trend of using the word trend as a verb is what gets on my fucking nerves.
