Posted by LKD on Sep-21-2002 19:00:

true dat

thats an option

Posted by Dick Rickles on Sep-21-2002 19:11:

mmmmm..... I would like to catch his set myself.... but I'm working... hee. Marshall and I would be happy to have you come to check the place out at least. The club looks AMAZING! There are $3.50 drinks happening at the bar and lots of seating areas complete with candles and beds! Great place to socialize and get a groove on before you go out to smash it up. Hope to see you there. Cheers!

beds huh????catch a last minute nap too

lol

btw..what kinda grooves do u 2 spin?

Posted by Dick Rickles on Sep-21-2002 21:02:

What kind of grooves do I spin..... hmmm. Actually, it's tough for me to just name a genre. I'll be starting the night off with what I call intelligent house music. Being a producer, I really look for music that has incredible production value. Then I move into some dirty funky progressive until I start to smash things up with everything from techno to trance. I pay alot of attention to my sets so that any transitions are subtle or hype depending. I also experiment with new production coming out of Beat Bros Studios.... theat's still a little vague, but it's true. I've been playing a long, long time and have moved through different genres. Now I play move vibe then style, I guess. I'm really, really liking the progressive that's around right now. I dig the tribal stuff as well. But I'll have to see what people react to.... cheers!

I like this dude, he will cater to what the crowd wants and the way they are reacting... good DJ ( If he can do it smoothly enough)KEEP PROGRESSIVE IN YOUR CRATE.
Ill for sure check this out another night, a couple quick questions..... This flyer is mainly for opening night which unfortunaltly Mauro and I have plans...For the future Are the drinks always $3.50, Who are the DJs on Saturday(Style)? Cover? How late is it open? Dress code??

Thanks Rickles !

*** Yes drinks are going to remain at $3.50 every Friday. I'm not too sure about the details for Saturday, but I believe it is Urban. I always have progressive in my crates....

Posted by Dick Rickles on Sep-24-2002 21:41:

oops!!! Our Friday night is open from 10pm-6am and the only dress code is the normal fair..... no sandles (safety reasons)and..... I think that's it.... the cover will be a paltry $10.00 on normal nights and perhaps more for special events depending on what it is. Our local guest dj's and musicians will of course not be special events. The promo for the following nights will be out soon.

Thanks for the info Rickles!!
I will show up for a Friday night some time in the near future.... Saturdays can lick a nut though.
Peace

Posted by mute79 on Sep-25-2002 15:34:

i'd rather hit this up than picotto... i think i just might check it out...

whats happenin there on saturdays?

Posted by TranceKitten on Sep-25-2002 21:43:

Hhmmm..Sounds very interesting, I am thinking myself of going just to check it out before I go to systems.
Although I always end up leaving my house too late for this events, because we usually chill at my place (drinks & muzic) b4 going out. Well I guess I'll have to ask around see who's going there too, maybe another night.
Any specials for girls? like free admission b4 a specific time?

Cheers!

Posted by Dick Rickles on Sep-26-2002 20:44:

On October 4th it's free for everyone so come by before or after. We are open until 6am so you can even pop over after Mauro's set. There is tons of crazy seating throughout the place and you can even reserve seating for you and your friends by emailing me at [email protected] . If you drop by, come up to the dj booth and say hi to Marshall and I. Cheers!

Have a great weekend!

Directions

Just to clear up some concerns I've heard about the address. 401 Richmond Street Laneway, is actually correct. You will see a large 401 on the building where the laneway is. Just walk/drive down and voila!... you'll see the entrance. It is almost right at Peter ST and Richmond. Just west of Peter off Richmond on the South side. Cheers!
