Thanks! What a track.

Total and utter crap this track. There is nothing innovative or new with their sound, at all.

Garbage electro pop, trying to capitalize on the new techno popularity. It's laughable at best. That's my take

Ps. And why do all their tracks get leaked? Super lame hype machine marketing. Makes me like them even less with those antics

New techno popularity? Music goes through stages, we all know that and techno might be getting popular again, but it's definetly not a new popularity. In the early 90's, techno was so popular Power 106 was playing it.

If anything, this song reminds me of the slower side of early 90's techno.

Dude I've been at this game since 94'. I've run an online house and techno radio station which led to us throwing rave parties for more than a decade in Atlanta from 2000-2010. I hosted Mauro Picotto and Chris Liebing in 2004. Trust me I love techno, this is not it. I travel to parties all over the world. Mostly Sven and Cox, and Luciano.

Techno is hot right now and has been for a minute. It's gained much more popularity lately.

Doesn't change the fact that this music is unoriginal and dated. Why such hype for these guys? I just don't get it

The same reason shit dj's like Avicci and the like are so popular.

Because kids will eat anything if you feed it to them.

definitely sounds early techno and i like it. dated? i applaud them for staying with the sound they're known for and not produce edm or trap music.

Sounds like what I used to listen to back in the 70's when I first learned of Giorgio.

There's a 192 version of the album going around.

Contact is BAD ASS!!!! It's fucken SICK!!!!!

Posted by DjWoody on May-13-2013 21:34:

I just heard to the whole Daft Punk album and Contact, the last track, is by far my favorite. It's OG Daft Punk at it's fullest. The end of the track reminds me a lot of Rolling & Scratching.

The album is very funky and different but it has some very good songs on it. It explores different corners of the EDM universe. There's Downtempo, House, Techno, Disco, Funk, and more. It's almost like there's something there for everyone. My only gripe was that it felt at one point that they were over doing it with the vocoder, but oh well.

Good album either way. I'm sure it will grow on me as I listen to it more. My only problem is that right now I only wanna listen to Contact over and over and over again.

Contact!!

That's the sound! That could transition with rolling and scratching. Amazing!

Posted by martinezequiel on May-14-2013 00:29:

This album is going to blow up! tip of the iceberg right now.

2.5/5

Best track imo on there is Giorgio by Moroder

Posted by DaveT on May-14-2013 02:34:

Very, very 70s influenced which they are known for.

It's not an album full of dance tracks, but it's nice.

Main issue with it: Not enough variation. A lot of the tracks share the same beats and sounds (e.g. 1. Give Life Back to Music, 8. Get Lucky, 9. Beyond).

Giorgio by Moroder is the best track for clubs straight out.

Contact is awesome as well -- it's a track where I hear a lot TRON in. TRON mashed up with some drums and snares.

Don't think this album will "blow up" though. Still way too niche (not that I'm complaining, because I'n not). Refreshing, nonetheless.

The more I listen to it, the more it grows on me. Loving the album.

So far, these are the songs that are growing on me the most.

- Contact
- Giorgio by Moroder
- Lose Yourself To Dance
- Instant Crush
- Doin' It Right
- Motherboard

Doin' it right
&
Touch

I can listen to over and over and over.

But whole album I can just start from the begging and listen all the way through with out skipping tracks, something that we all know is rare now a days.
