no good deed goes unpunished
So this guy i hardly know asks me to watch two bags of clothes for a day because he's moving or something. I hesitated but then he went into some song and dance that it was only for a day. The next day he fails to show up. Fast forward five days, the guy still hasn't returned, so i put them in a box by the dumper. That was two days ago and today he shows up (i was not there) and says that he's going to return.
I called the cops and they said i haven't done anything criminally wrong, but that he could sue me (i checked bailment law and i believe its on my side, because he failed to show up). Fuck.
lol
This guy could shank me. Its a good thing i always carry pepper spray.
Do you often feel like you aren't really in control of your life?
what life?
lolol
I do crack and crack cocaine accessories.
this is a toughie imo.
the ownness is on you the moment you took it from him. its bad he didnt show up when he said he would but it still is technically his property you're responsible for that you threw out...
you might be at fault legally i have no idea but since this is just clothes who gives a fuck tell the dude "sorry man, ran out of space and you didn't show i thought you took off.." and if he flips his shit call the cops.

OT:
Were they nice clothes?
And why not just donate them instead of trashing them?
they were in garbage bags and they were starting to crowd me. i'm not going to waste anymore time finding them a good home. it would have cut into my COR time.
i'm wasting time though. anyone know some good self defense youtube videos?

I would run away and start a new life. Step 1 would be making an alt on TA though.
Get busy.
are you in any of the bum fights or any derivative form of entertainment ?
I mean you are how old ? over 40 ? Titty christ. Did you sign a sworn affidavit with your lawyer as a witness attesting that you will hold on to these clothes for a specific period of time.
Seems to me like this could be solved by telling him to go fuck himself or give him 50$ for crack.
ARe you the guy that goes on judge judy suing for like 45$ ? I know heroin addicts that seem to have a better grasp on life.
This thread is totally LOL. Please keep us updated, I'm actually very curious to know how this turns out
You should find random clothes from the dump and put them in garbage bags and tell them you just cleaned them. He wont know the difference!

my brother bought a bum a beer once and then gave him his phone number and also mentioned where he lived. Now the bum will randomly call him and ask for beers.

If a homeless person ask me for change I offer to buy them something to eat. I won't give them cash or change for beer or anything else. Has anyone seen the classic homeless sign at the axis roads to highways? It says: "Why lie, I just need a beer."
