upon first glance at that question, i thought it was ridiculous.... but diving deeper into thought, i realized that actually, that is a good question.

But when you realize that all sounds and "noises" so to speak are simply equations and algorithms interpreted by your Korg keyboard (or whatever manufacturer is of choice), and that mathematically, there are billions upon billions of different combinations of elements involved in constructing and varying these algorithms, then you realize that we will never "run out" of sounds and noises...

we simply may just lack the creative ear to put them together in distinct, and euphoric patters anymore.

even if we do run out of noises you can just put them in a different order with difernt combos of sounds and ur good

i mean how many sounds can an guitar make...

as long as there are ideas coming out of ppl's minds and turned into melodies there will be plenty and never so little that it'll just run out...

I don't think so. There are just too many combinations. I'm sure newer and different sounding ones will be created.

If they do they will just produce like Darude and use the same samples every track.

Korg does have a LOT of excellent trance noises! huh|

Nah.....producers will just start redoing and remaking their older tunes...can see it now.

Exactly. The possibilities are almost limitless in electronic music.

Or, more likely, we'll keep it up as long as there's a demand for euphoric patterns. Or we'll give ourselves whatever we want at the time.

The technology will change. Pop production values will change. They'll change so drastically that you'll be able to do the same-old-same-old on new equipment with new tracking/mixing techniques and it'll sound completely new.

Or we'll just do something a little different! I'm working on doing trance live with real drums, to make it breathe more. As it is, I usually put some real drums in my tracks even if it's just a couple of drum fills or a hi-hat.

yah, true

trance is the music of emotion and technology, and as long as technology keeps changing, there will be new ways of expressing that emotion

i don't think so, i mean, djs/producers have come this far already.

I could show you a video of a man raving to a car alarm.... so no they will not run out
