2013.09.01 [SFL] John O'Callaghan @ Club Space, Miami

Pantone alerted some of us on Facebook of this event but since I like to be first, I'm creating the event thread.

This will be a big one I think. I'm assuming there's gonna be at least one other big name trance DJ that night. And it's a Sunday. Looks like big Labor Day weekend Space-style. Maybe that "where's the trance" thread is working.

Yay, I'm there.

good shit. now make sure to buy a few rounds at the bar and maybe shows like this will continue to pop up.

Can you find out if its going to be in the loft, terrace or main room?

Posted by Juan Paulino on Jun-12-2013 01:58:

What do you guys think of this?

I'm still discovering a lot about trance, which is why I came to this forum. I had never heard of John O'Callaghan before. After listening to the him, I love it! I'm going to YouTube some more of his stuff.

I'd be shocked if he was on the terrace. Loft is a possibility but I think it could be one of those WMC-esque nights at Space where they have trance in the basement and house/techno upstairs. Labor Day weekend is another of those big weekends for electronic music.

Here's some other names: John Askew, Bryan Kearney, Indecent Noise, Aly & Fila, Solarstone, John "00" Fleming, Giuseppe Ottaviani, and there's so much more!

PS Welcome to the forums, we may be assholes sometimes but that's what happens when this musical lifestyle is a big portion of our life.

Wow, great booking.

I always travel up to NYC for labor day weekend. EZoo's lineup very disappointing this year, but banking on a few good shows at Output.

Nonetheless, this should be quite the night at Space!

I honestly like it, the breakdown sounds amazing but then it goes into techier side of things.

Thank you! I'll definitely listen to these. The only ones I know from this list are Aly & Fila.

I'm with Juan on this one, I like the track. So what if the bassline is more like house, the root of the song is mostly influenced by trance...the heavier beat brings more energy to it. Pantone, you know I like those beats lol. (Personal Jesus)

I'm with you Tomas, that track is garbage as hell. That breakdown/build-up is waaaayyy over the top. It's like eating a fried twinkie with chocolate chip ice cream with whipped cream, caramel syrup with a cherry on top.

It's cool if you like it though Shane.

Well if your new to JOC i don't recommend that. Thats just a new collab he did with tilt that sounds pretty cool (Breakdown only) if you ask me.

Here's what i recommend. Here's the JOC we all know and love.

Well here I was keeping my mouth shut because Luccio didn't want to make an announcement yet, but the announcement has already been made (and made before he told me not to say anything).

Jesus, I feel like an idiot. Thanks!

Happy to see these two outside of WMC. This is gonna be great!

Looking like I'll have plans to go down to Miami the weekend after for the Gators/Canes game which is such a rare occurrence that I don't think I can pass it up. Don't know if it's a wise decision for me to blow a bunch of money in Miami two weekends in a row. Dammit!
