That MC we all can't stand.......

I don't think I even need to mention which sets he's in.......

If you've listened to any of Trance Energy from Saturday, you know EXACTLY who I am talking about.......I've heard this guy in other sets, Impulse etc, and he absolutely destroys it.

After trying to listen to the orbital remix again in the dumonde set from saturday, he rambles through out 85% of the track.......

Apparently this guy is doing something right, what I don't know....Who is hiring this guy? Anyway, he is by far, the worst MC/crowd lifter I have ever heard......He makes no sense........his accent sounds ridiculous......he tries to rhyme with sets at times.......He just sounds so cheezy and stupid.

Seriously, the guy has no business doing vocals/crowd pumping in any of these sets.....Someone likes him, and I really can't figure out why.....Does hearing that guy actually hype anyone up? If i heard this guy live at any party, I would pay money, and I mean that, for him to get off the stage. You payed to hear the DJ, and with this guy rambling, you can't. He kills the mood and vibe. I've heard bad live MCs/crowd pumpers before, but this guy has always been a joke in my book.

Well put.

worst MC ever is on

Paul van Dyk - Live @ Biosphere (18-09-1999).mp3

trust me its real real bad

Posted by torontotrance on Sep-23-2002 14:34:

the mysteryland 1999 one was awful

few weeks ago..i asked johan gielen, if he liked mc's and his answer was NO!...he rather build the tempo or even mc himself rather than have that. From what i hear, avb does not like mc's, i'm sure 80-90% of deejays hate mc's.

tho the club eau mc seems to know when to shut up tho.

Posted by Technaut on Sep-23-2002 14:47:

The Club Eau one dont bother me much as your correct, he does know when to shut his trap.

Posted by jp on Sep-23-2002 15:15:

Trance and MC's don't match, but at hardcore parties MC's can really make the difference by making the crowd go wild.

I'll post a video to proof that...

Well, it's the best way to express an opinion, cause 'yo have seen it with your own eyes'

Posted by Technaut on Sep-23-2002 15:34:

thats true

I liked that wee vid you put up a month or two ago of a hardcore rave in Holland.

I posted a thread in the music discussion section

"Music styles and MC's [video download]"

JP, i knwo what u mean about hardcore and MC's. but some people (trance energy + sensasion) go as far as having MC's with hardstyle and even hardtrance, which is just wrong!!!

Posted by Sand Leaper on Sep-23-2002 16:18:

Agreed,Ste.Dammmit, why didn't somebody shoot that MORON that kept blabbering all over Dana's set @ Sensation?!?!?!?!?ASSHOLE!!!!!!!!!!

Also agree on that guy @ Club Eau.He really manages to time his announcements right,i.e. in the Marco V set that's up in the liveset section.

Posted by Az on Sep-23-2002 16:23:

Marco V - Live @ Mysteryland
If i had a Time machine, I'd go back and shoot the BASTARD, who MC'd over Underworld - Born Slippy (CJ Stone mix), with the wrong words
If I'd have been there, he'd have had a well placed bottle of piss thrown at his head..

Posted by yujie__ on Sep-23-2002 16:33:

the Stupid gay never STFU MC on TMF the djs. He never quits, always BSing things that arent trance. GAY

Posted by MaGiK54 on Sep-23-2002 17:13:

MC Paul-T from Club Eau in The Hague rulez big time.

Posted by Biohazard on Sep-23-2002 18:00:

Dude

The one from TE isn't the same as from Impulz. The one from Impulz is MC MarXman, one of the most respected Mcs of holland.

MarXman and Paul-T are the only good MCs for trance sets IMO

You want an annoying MC, well then MC Ruffian will od the job

Errr.......I'm pretty sure these two are the same, infact, positive. Though it may NOT have been impulz, I have a strong feeling it was, need to check again. Perhaps he was a guest? I don't know, I'll have to find the exact set I am talking about.

Then again, I don't believe there should be any MC, in any form of electronica except Dnb. I don't care for MCs too much, unless its some good jungle and they know what their doing. Other than that, I don't think they have any business rambling at all during a set.

Posted by Biohazard on Sep-23-2002 19:26:

Im 100% sure, since MarXman doesn't MC for ID-T events, only for UDC.

The guy from TE tries to speak like an american, however fails miserably. MarXman has IMO one of the coolest English accents out there. You can also hear him on the Dance Valley CD by Ferry Corsten and ofcourse the Tiesto 9 hour set.

Seriously, get the Dana @ Sensation Set or any of the earlier Qlimax Sets. Now thats an annoying MC

first of all, i think there may be differences between the cultures as to what is acceptable. you Dutch people REALLY, and i mean REALLY like your whistles and MCs.

personally i think they ruin it, and the only time i have deemed one at ALL acceptable was in that tiesto TE 2000 set, right at the beginning, but i think thats just cause Spoiled and Zigo makes up for it. here in the US, we may not know a LOT about trance, but the MCs shut the hell up until its time to go home, or another DJ is coming on. thats the best way|

I don't like MC's, but Paul-T talk for 1 a 2 minutes during a set of 2 a 3 hours. He only asks for some respect for the DJ and he announce the next dj. Some MC's are talking during a whole set, they MUST die and burn in Hell
