DJ EZ Boiler Room Set

Yes, it's been up for a while, and many of you have probably seen/heard it. It's still worth posting, as a shining example of what happens when you get an experienced and accomplished DJ who's REALLY into their craft, and a crowd that knows their music and came to PARTY. The dancefloor is so hype in this vid that sometimes its hard to believe its an actual Boiler Room set, given that in most of them, half the people in attendance are usually too busy posturing or texting to a middling set to do anything that resembles actual dancing.

Oh, and he has his back to the dancefloor the entire time.

bonkers.

Awesome indeed. Gonna repost this.

People are quick to say that DJ'ing is dead with the advent of all the technology, but then you see something like this and its a shining example of what a true talented DJ can do. It consistently reminds me of how much more I need to learn as well.

ps. another amazing boiler room set by Henrik Schwarz.. so fucking good.

I see Dixon is here for Labour Day weekend.

I'd love to see a Henrik Schwarz / Dixon / Ame

event in Toronto. Would have been perfect for one of the island parties / sunnyside / boat cruise.

Drugs must have been good cause that music is awful
Pretty bad ass skills though ill give him that

This brought me way back. Not as much as the Pete Rock Boiler Room set though. I still 2 stepped while on the bidet.

me are playing in UK on Aug 31sst and they were here on May 31st, so one can only hope
Dixon would be amazing, really would like to see him

hehehe, different kind of set, slow start but the technical ability is craycray. Im not sure how he didnt trainwreck a few times, does the efx 500 have some tempo warping? Its amazing comparing it to people not even using traktor well enough to beatmatch, the contrast...

Posted by geroin on Jul-23-2013 19:19:

^ Although nice, the set was a bit boring for me.

Craziest BR crowd I've seen. Been kicking myself for skipping the Purity Ring afterparty here in Vancouver.

edit: wait, how do I embed shit (feeling old moment)

Nevermind... I just watched 14:10 of EZ.

Good fucking lord.... that is fucking unholy.

Click the share on the youtube video link, then paste it in the text bro, PLUR.

I agree Gera, but that video is technical self-indulgence. My fav boiler rooms sets are, Dominik Eulberg, Sven Vath, dBridge and Nathan Fake; check them out if you havent :}

Is it fair to say that the boiler room sets are the 'essential mixes' of the next generation?

Most BR's have more interesting crowds than artists IMO. +1 on the Pete Rock BR set, that was something really well done and props to them for hosting.
