help with ripping

guys I need some help
im tryin to rip Tic toc at +4% for someone.. but when I use Sound forge it comes out crappy quality. like Live set quality
i tried recording at 24bit. 16 bit. 32 bit.. 92,000hz all different options.. no idea whats wrong.
I turned off all my EQ options for Sound blaster. im using an Audigy
Its fine when I just play the song.. but when I listen to what i recorded its horrible
I tried reinstalling Sound forge so I get defaultoptions. and its still same thing
maybe I should try something else for ripping?
ok thanks

Heheh..... do you really want me to answer that?

i use Cool Edit pro, much easier and clean rips as long as you set your levels properly before you record.

cheers
