Any good shows on/around Sep 21st?

Hey guys, I'm going to be in town for the RrR marathon: http://ca.competitor.com/montreal on sunday September 22. I've never been to Montreal before and looking forward it. I was wondering if any good events were taking place friday night (20th)

Any recommendations on places to stay in the downtown area and things to checkout appreciated as well. Thanks
