YESSSSS! I am so there! I would actually rather see him @ Gryphon, but this will be like 1/2 the price and 2.5 hrs closer to me...
Was there for the Sasha show two weeks ago. This venue is a trainwreck. Wouldn't mind seeing PVD in Orlando, but it'll never be at Firestone.
They only area decent enough to hang out is upstairs imo. Just sucks the music isn't that loud
last time PVD came to Orlando besides EDC was @ Firestone in 2008, I hope they don't close off the upstairs to just VIP
Wish they would have him at the UCF Arena more than anything. Tiesto has been twice why not PVD? Think if I go gonna look at vip prices first then decide. It will be sardine packed downstairs crazy hot and miserable haha
Ya Firestone sucks balls, along with Vain, Roxy, and the rest of the Orlando schmutz. There's really no quality venue in that city.
I've been to all three now and while none are great, Firestone is a distant third for me.

I'll be there! I might head down to Miami and catch him in Tampa too.

This party is gonna blow. Firestone is such a shitty venue. Either you're gonna sweat like a 350 lb defensive lineman doing yardwork in the Florida heat or you'll be in an upstairs nook where the music is separated from you by windows. 18 and up? Huge EDM "trance" DJ in Orlando? Recipe for a terrible night.

his shows was good, not great...he had some good moments when he played some of his classics and more trancey side. But a lot of electro-house spread all over the set. Firestone was packed and like a sauna in there...had to retreat upstairs where it was a bit cooler, they opened up the windows facing the stage which made it sound much better. Managed to get PVD's autograph at the end of the night, he stayed like 15 min after his set to greet the fans. Oh, he played a 2hr set.
Nice! Glad you got to meet him! Will be going to the Tampa show tomorrow night.
I've seen PvD over 60 times and nothing will ever top his 2001-2002/TPOD 1/I Feel You-era, but his set was good (not great) last night. The crowd was very young and clueless with several people asking me if he was on during the warm-up DJ. I'm too lazy to post the complete T/L, but he played a pretty standard set of tracks he's been playing everywhere with the exception of his "Berlin Mix" of Nothing But You which seems to be a FL staple. It was great to hear some of the new IDs live. Standout tracks for me was that Arise track and his closer Nothing But Everything.
Hmmm. Nothing you guys said convinced me except that if I do go to the show in Tampa I'll be sure to fork out the extra $5 for upstairs access.
