How much do u limit your humour?

Hey. I just wanted to know something. I jsut wanted to know the limit of ppls humour here. Like howfar do u take a joke. DO u set any limits as to what the joke is about? You like offensive humour. Share here.

Some jokes are really cruel. Like we made a joke on our friend a few years ago on april 1st, saying his g/f got into a car accident. Now that was a bad fuckin' joke. Poor guy got so depressed, it was awful. So yeah, some jokes are bad - even on april 1st.

I guess any jokes that just ridicule, are ok. Also, if you play a joke on a person who is known to be very sensitive about subject of the joke, it's a bad joke as well. For instance I hate it when people take stuff from me without my permission. If they ask for something, then sure, I usually have no problems giving. But don't take stuff from me without my permission. I hate it! So one time, me and my friend are flying on an international flight. We are both pretty hungry. Flight attendant serves us food. Then the next thing I know my friend is eating my tomato. I know, it's just a tomato, but it's the principle - if he asked me, I'd given him the damn tomato. But don't just take it. So I let it go for time being, though I told him not to do it again. Pretty soon, they are serving wine. So I took one bottle, but decided to save it for later. A bit later I put the bottle on my chair and went to the washroom. When I come back I see my friend drinking my wine. Damn, I got really mad and spilled that wine on his expensive jacket. I probably should not have done that(jacket WAS expensive), but some jokes are really not funny!

its the internet nothing should be taken seriously, its all jokes, and ppl you haven't met shooting the shit! Outside in public its a different story!

so what was the point of this thread ?
are u going to show us something funny yet disturbing?

i used to joke a lot
then i realized i was joking about ppl
basically making fun of them
so i stopped
now i'm just boring

as long as noone gets hurt (physically or emotionally)

the way I see it is... if I make fun of you and you can't take it as a joke, then I don't like you and you deserved to be made fun of

i agree with Durafei.. there's a fundamental difference between sarcastic joking and offensive/bad taste joking .. most of the jokes we do here on TA seem to be more sarcastic .. but of course, you can't always tell that on the net ! :P

I like anecdotes about everyday life. As well as jokes that are in nature similar to Seinfeld humor. But not stupid jokes that are sexist or racial in nature.

One of my Pet peeves are guys who take jokes to seriosuly and say "That's RAcist" and "that's not funny cause ppl got hurt at that event" n shit. I Don't care. One of my fave segmesnt of comedy was in the Movie "Rat Race". Where the Jewish dude did the FUNNIEST HITLER impression EVER!!!!

Just cause I make/enjoy jokes liek that does not make me or anyonelese who enjoys it Racist. Life is too short. laugh away!

I'll go as far with a joke as I have to...I've dug myself into huge wholes with this like joking around doing it with some chick and then bam...but anywho...life would be less boring with jokes. As lon as I still had trance, and of course ginos to laugh at.

Since I love making people laugh i'll take a joke pretty far. Even if it's about me, I dont care. It does get tiresome with all the negative humour though. Back in school me and my buddies would just make jokes about eachother all the time.

As long as no one is hurt or deeply offended the sky is the limit.

My favourite humour is the kind not everyone gets. The kind that makes you think a bit and leaves a few people dumb-struck. I love it when someone is the butt of a joke and they have no clue. Then again there's nothing like good old fart & dick jokes... long live Kevin Smith. Also, anything that takes shorts a religion, esp. the Catholic Church (I was raised Irish Catholic so I got some issues to deal with alright....)
