Fresh FM goes 24/7 in a week

Just a quick post to let all the Adelaide TA's know that Fresh FM is going round the clock as of October. So hopefully, that means that we're going to have a weekly trance show instead of all this happy hardcore, progressive, r'n'b and drum'n'bass stuff that they play at night currently.

Hmmm, perhaps we should apply for a slot? I reckon our knowledge of the trance scene would be up to it.

go for it mate!!

sorry this poor little thread was empty, just had to say something

Posted by DJ Dowlz on Sep-25-2002 12:56:

It's alright webmeister, mr_stamper and I are used to being all alone here in Adelaide. It would be fantastic to have our own radio show in which we promoted pure trance (as distinct from all this happy-hardcore and progressive stuff).

Yeah great news, i can't wait!!
I thought there was already a trance night on Monday night?? I could be wrong, but when i've listened theyve been playing trance. Also most Saturday nights they play a lot of trance. Every single time i get a taxi home from town Fresh FM is on and there are decent trance tunes on.
I have been very tempted to send them songs now and then for them to play. Cos most 'new' stuff they play is at least a couple months old. I was very tempted to send them Ligaya when it came out 2 months before its release date.
But yeah i spose we could run a trance news / information segment or something dowlz. Here on tranceaddict there is a stack of information that we could summarise each week like new releases, upcoming releases, tour dates, goss etc etc...

Posted by DJ Dowlz on Sep-25-2002 14:28:

Yeah, I listen to the Monday night show, but it's not really trance, at least not in my sense of the word. There's so much info here on the TA board, that finding info wouldn't be difficult. We could have choon of the week, classic tunes etc. And since it's all community radio, I'm pretty sure they don't give a flying f*ck about having mp3z. Plus we could have a mix up session too. LOL, this is just like a state of trance!

We shall have to enquire into this.

heheh youd need to speak dutch too to make it authentic

kello, welkometosdkfhsdhfstateoftrance fresh fm sjkwejhsdjlfsdlh dj dowlz jsdfhjsdfh mr stamper kkjsadxksafdksekkesf tune of the week new remix

Posted by DJ Dowlz on Sep-26-2002 03:59:

You reckon we could arrange special guests like Ferry Corsten? And then we could ask him questions like this one from ASOT58

Armin: "... how do you feel about your music being downloaded for free on mp3? ...."

Corsten: "MP3z suck ..."

Posted by webmeister on Sep-26-2002 10:50:

lol

i take it u found that bit

Posted by DJ Dowlz on Sep-26-2002 13:11:

Anybody got a translation of the Dutch part? I should post this in the Holland forums perhaps.

It's at 31:05 in part 3 of ASOT 58

hehe! so true!!
Then i could say JOHAN GIELEN in the really cool way that armin says it.
And i could go 'get ready for a message. A message that will shock the world.' (you wouldnt get it unless you listen to ASOT.)

Posted by webmeister on Sep-26-2002 21:48:

no offence to "eye-day-min-tay dot com" but the message that will shock the world didn't really shock me

"ID&T radio, no competition possible."

oh

No, no, no. Get it right webmeister, it's "eye-dee mine-us tee dot com"

Well Fresh FM didn't go 24/7 within a week, but it's finally here! Woohoo 24/7 dance!

Nothing much in the trance scene so far, but I see Riva - Time is the healer is on their website playlist. Time for mr_stamper and I to bring some trancedation (like my new word - combination of trance and education) to Adelaide.

Listened into Fresh tonight and this is what I heard - a sign of good things to come

Binary Finary - 1998 (Kay Cee mix)
Riva - Time is the healer (Armin van Buuren mix)
Freefall feat. Jan Johnson - Skydive (don't know the mix)
[sponsorship break]
ID (I know this one - sounds like ATB and then Barber's Adagio for strings)
Chicane - Saltwater (Tomski vs Disco remix)
ID (I know this one too)
Kosheen - Hungry (DJ Tiesto remix)
ID (didn't like it)
ID (vocals "connected")
Mario Piu - The vision (don't know the mix)
[discussion break]
Underworld - Kittens
ID
ID
Warmduscher - Hardcore will never die

I wish they would tell us what the track were! That's all I could get from the top of my head.

Posted by webmeister on Nov-04-2002 12:03:

Posted by DJ Dowlz on Nov-04-2002 12:39:

Yeah theyre all mixed. Its usually an hour set at a time. Altho i strongly suspect they use CD-J's, i'm sure some of their songs they play they download off the net.
