Problem with SB Live! Value

Hello Guys
I am trying to install an SB live value soundcard on my motherboard, only thing is I am figuring out that the problem has to be with the IRQ assigned or something, because my PC freezes (windows XP) everytime i try to install this soundcard.
Any of you heard of this problem before... it seems its comonly known that live value has critical bugs regarding XP and NT.

Thanks

Hmm never had any problems with XP and such. Usually the problem is with the motherboard itself. Have you tried putting it in a Dif slot?
Sound Blasters dont like to be in the one right after the AGP slot, if you have one. Also do you have on board sound. If so your gonna want to turn that off in bios before you put the new one in. Usually doesnt cause any problems but if its irqs that are messing you up it might help.

Anyways
Did you try all pci slots?
And when does it freez? during the driver install or right on windows loading, or before?
