After a long ridiculous argument with flec over trance and dj's I decided that I really do want to see how this board feels.
I've had conversations with people who used to frequent this board all the time and we all kind of agreed that our tastes changed, and that this board also changed. I'm not saying this poll will establish any of those truths, I'm just interested to find out where we stand on an issue.
If you want you can read the post before you vote (its the thread dealing with Sasha early bird tix) or you can simply vote on what you think and know already. Be honest because there is no right or wrong answer, just opinion. I'm just totally curious as to what you think.
I will always love Swamper and this board, I just think it's changed.

Ferry and Tiesto you can compare. Sasha and Digweed you can compare. But not Ferry and Sasha.
Those who like prog, should go see Sasha. Those who like trance, should go see Ferry. Even though Sasha may play trance, Ferry is much more of a true trance DJ then Sasha.
If I don't like a DJ, I'm not gonna pay 35$ to see him even if the whole world is saying that he is great!
I never said you had to go and see anyone. I didn't mean this to be personal Durafei, I just want to see something.

i've noticed a lotta subjectivity on the board these days .. a lot of people saying stuff (not referring to you Halo20) here and thinking that it's law and that everyone has to agree. Anyways, I'm sure people will continue to debate music tastes here until the end of time, it's just personally i don't think it's even worth it. It's almost like trying to prove which religion is the true faith, it's something that can't be answered.
Maybe, this poll should instead read:
Who's style of music do you like better as a DJ: Sasha or Ferry ?
I picked Sasha...because I do prefer him over Ferry. Ferry's sets are a little shallow for me...not as "artsy" I guess.

yep i also feel the same way as durafei
They are too different to compare......
i love sasha, but i also really like ferry..... and ive seen them both live..... so i can't choose......

Absolutely uncomparable, I will not vote because I can't because I like both DJ's equally in their both rights. If you put Ferry and Tiesto then I would choose Tiesto. If I had to make my decision about technical mixing skills, clearly I would pick Sasha but I think this thread is more about track selection then anything. Basically, I dont even really like the new AvB/Corsten/Tiesto sets because nothing has changed lately in them. Hell, the last 5 ASOT episode have been almost the same. Anyways, DJ of the year for me has to be Marco V...I would personally vote for Marco over Sasha simply because I love Marco's track selection.
Anyways, thats what I think.
Sasha puts me to sleep, Corsten's not hard enough, but if I had to choose, I'd go with Corsten.
i'll pay the $35 bucks to see sasha for mainly 3 reasons. First of all, i seem to like Sasha's recent stuff more than ferry's recent stuff. Second of all, i have damaged cartilage and the doctor says i cannot party until the 15th of october because i'm supposed to stay off it. Third of all, ferry seems to come more often to toronto then sasha and i rather go see sasha.
Put me down as a vote for, A great big glass of who gives a fuck.
There both good.....to much thought is being put into the DJ's and not enough in the actual parties they are suppose to DJ for.

This poll isn't about track selection or whose style do u prefer- it's about DJ skills.
