Cool

I thought your life had been overtaken with beer and Warcraft. Or Starcraft, or whatever it was.

All the above. I'll be the first to admit that I have too many hobbies, but at least the one I'm concentrating on is always fluctuating.

Nice demo Alan, currently I'm stuck playing skyrim on the 360.

Double Dragon for NES is what I was going for. The theme was on the SNES version, too, although wasn't the title for whatever reason. The title it does have sucks.

SNES:

NES:

It was also used in the Arcade, but sounds clunky with the FM synth engine a lot of those Japanese arcades had back in the late 80s.

Yeah thats where I know it from. Forget your ultra combos, all you need is an elbow!

The Double Dragon III theme kicks ass:

But the game itself is horrible (I had it as a kid):

Actually I meant this one

Posted by alanzo on Aug-30-2013 18:28:

OMG. That is awesome.

Never had an Amiga. C64 and to 386 and on.

Posted by tehlord on Aug-30-2013 18:53:

The Amiga took everything that was great about PC's and everything that was great about consoles and mangled it into a slender wedge of pure awesome.

Atari failed to do the same with the ST, but then in a stroke of genius they gave it a MIDI socket instead.

And we were all born.

Pfft, topic schmopic.

Check out this awesome track from an old sega game called Gynoug (Wings of Wor in the US):

Same game, my other favorite from the OST. Some of the composers really knew how to push the FM synthesis the genesis used. Others, not really:

I like that second one more.

Have you heard of Uridium? (you might be too young.....)

Badass SID programming.
