Digweed & Nick Muir new project Versus

http://www.residentadvisor.net/news.aspx?id=20899

Huh. Thoughts?

Why is this thread-worthy?

Posted by Zak McKracken on Aug-28-2013 12:15:

all reworks/botlegs by them? interesting idea. not sure why it needs to be three cds though. could just have been a "live" mix somehow. or the bootlegs could have been put together like an fulllength album instead (LSG albums style) without the djmix label.

Posted by Syntonic on Aug-28-2013 12:33:

They're wasting away their talent.

Posted by Lews on Aug-28-2013 12:40:

What was the last good thing they did? Seems like they spent it a long time ago.

Posted by enydo on Aug-28-2013 13:54:

Lol, another 3-disc overload of BS from Diggers.

Posted by enydo on Aug-28-2013 13:54:

Because generic, big-room white-noiseno isn't good unless there are way more tracks than you'd even want to attempt to listen to.

Posted by Floorfiller on Aug-28-2013 15:30:

I don't have high expectations for this or anything, but is this supposed to be kinda like their version of Involver or what?

Posted by Adam420 on Aug-28-2013 15:31:

Digweed has lost the plot a while back

Posted by MSZ on Aug-28-2013 15:40:

Looks pretty good?

Posted by rubez on Aug-28-2013 16:26:

yes, this does look like a very interesting project, from a scene where interesting developments are few and far between...

not thread-worthy? are you on crack you idiot?

no, but 'what is trance?' and 'best euro dance song' are thread-worthy?

people just like to spread hate, every post out of them is negative... what is the point in their existence? bitter bitches.

Well they have an 'electronica' (whatever that is supposed to be) disc at least that could be interesting.

My excitement level for this project = 0.

Whatever, I am really liking John Digweed & Nick Muir Vs Ian O'Donovan - Dawnbreaker.

You can always just, you know, not click on the thread. Or even if you happen to click on it, you don't have to reply. It's not as if there's pages of threads to look through.

And to answer your question, it's worthy because Bedrock is a heavily-followed label and Diggers is one of the most popular people in electronic music (you know this). The concept seems interesting since he's working with Nick Muir again; this duo has a number of fans and have put out some incredible music. That's why it's thread-worthy.

This isn't even mentioning the array of talent that they have lined up for this project (Carlo Lio, jozif, C. Smith, etc). Looks like a big release to me.

"Again" ?

They haven't put out anything incredible in a long fucking time.

Posted by rubez on Aug-29-2013 11:50:

he's one of those people who only voice negative opinions - and comes on forums specifically to do just that.

the internet has those type of people, you know

a major project involving some of electronic music's premier talent is not, in the very least, thread-worthy? get a life.

he is trying to distance himself from anything mildly popular or successful. image-conscious on an anonymous internet board with about 3 active members... aw yeah!! hardcore.

So in other words it's an utterly standard Bedrock release where an uninteresting concept is bloated to unnecessary extremes. The kind of thing they do every 12 months or so. Still doesn't answer my question as to why Woony of all people would make a thread about it.

I saw it on RA and went "oh" and made a thread within 10 seconds, it's not like I really thought about it
