20 and 23 aren't exactly 'kids'
But please people, be reasonable.

Not saying a site called "betherave" is a reputable news source, but still seems logical, 6 at once?!
And NYC Mayor backs EZ

"I've taken 22 caps of Molly on top of bombs and Lucy yet still manage to post this comment..it's not the drug." "too bad you can't od on mdma" "REAL MDMA IS BROWN. TRUST ME MY PET DOG HAS HAD IT. and its the legit shit." |

It's like 2000-2001 all over again. (Allen Ho?)
Or 1996 (Leah Betts)
The drug is a joke people. It is probably the most celebrated in a long time if not ever. It's in media, music newspapers and news stories.
When Veld was going on I was watching the CP24 news report on it. Electronic Dance Music, outside.... with friends... oh and how many of you have done M-D-M-A? Interviewing the crowd etc... oh I've never tried it before... been offered many times. Blah blah we have a strict drug search check.
The more festivals North Americans have involving EDM music, the more new users will try it. NA abuses everything. Just like alcohol.
The lower the average age of their first "experience" and so on. It's been happening for over a decade now. Kids are growing up on this like the internet. It's sad, its misused and abused by kids who think they know what the fuck their doing.
Gimme a break. It's a joke now. Might as well be legalized. Heck, it has a better chance before MJ will.
bunch of stupid kids got the darwin award, but ruined the party for everyone else. got it. moving on
I was talking to a guy last night who's company is involved with EZ said that besides the two kids who died, there were plenty more who fell seriously ill. EZ promoters cancelled because they were afraid there was a bad batch and didn't know how many were sold and didn't want anymore blood if you will on their hands on their grounds.
So EZ promoters made the call to cancel? Not the police or anything? I've been wondering who made that decision.

Kinda like Tiesto a couple years back. I was leaving 45 min before it ended to beat the rush and was watching kids getting wheeled out in stretchers and the SRU were pulling up in paddy wagons. Show got shut down shortly after (little late lol)

| Toxicology reports are still pending in the deaths of two Electric Zoo attendees last month, but authorities are now looking at the possibility that the fatalities were caused by a chemical akin to bath salts, not overdoses of molly (slang for MDMA). The Post reports that 20-year-old Staten Island resident Matthew Rybarczyk died in June after ingesting what he believed was molly at a party on Governors Island, but turned out to be methylone, a chemical that can produce effects similar to MDMA but is often toxic. Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget Brennan says the city is seeing a "proliferation" of methylone being sold on the black market. Though bath salts are outlawed in New York State, methylone is not covered under the ban, though it is federally classified as a Schedule 1 drug. "We urgently need a law that would allow us to prosecute the sale of this deadly substance," Brennan said. That law was passed this last legislative session, and is expected to be signed by Governor Cuomo soon. Kids think Molly is a pure, safe ecstasy, but its not, a DEA agent tells the tabloid. Its not pure, its not safe and its not even ecstasy. Testing kits are being sold to help determine the veracity of your drug dealer's claims. |
